Ahem,Hi group My name is Brandy&I'm addicted to food porn *We're back&FULL!Reviews t*

Hmmmm, where did I leave off? Oh yeah, wanderin around WS while drinking a Grey Goose slushie, scarfing caramel corn while wearing lederhosen ;)

Day 8 - Break day. Very excited because this also DD's and my "girly" time. Doing the My Disney Girl Perfectly Princess Tea Party! I requested a child's plate as well since I am allergic to shellfish/seafood & in general prefer pb&j over cucumber sammies;) Also have DS,who will be 4 by then, booked on the Pirate Adventure cruise at POR. WCC for dinner. Really looking forward to this day!

Day 9 - EPCOT Kona B, Rose&Crown L & Akershus D.

Day 10 - Break day Chef Mickeys breakfast & 1900 Park Fare Dinner

Day 11 - HS. 50's PTC early dinner & Pirates&pals Fireworks cruise

Day 12 - MK. CP early am for GORG pics in front of castle before park opening. Figure kids should be used to time change by then so "shouldn't" violently oppose rising early for dear old mom to have memories of a lifetime ;) LTT for lunch, dinner open as of right now - suggestions?

Day 13 - DTD SHOPPING DAY!! WCC B, Raglan Road L & HHDMR with farewell sleigh ride!

Day 14 - Departure day. Ohana farewell breakfast & pool until late flight :sad2:

Does this sound like a good layout? Too much planned? Any&all suggestions greatly needed! :confused3

Hmmmmm.....I was already subscribed but if I were not, I would be now just to see a pic of this!! :rotfl2:

I had several ideas to keep the kiddies entertained (hopefully anyways:confused3) Let me know any ideas that you all have used or if you think any of my ideas

Hidden Mickeys(I think their dad will enjoy this more!), Candy Crawl through WS (I know I know CANDY/KIDS?!!) They have to choose 1 authentic candy per country, while mom&dad do something ummm more adult around the World:banana: Cupcake Crawl, takes place various places around WDW - ok this one is more for me than them! :rolleyes1.

Whatduhyathink?

Ok so this is where I need some MONDO help! We had planned on having gifts waiting in the room when we arrive (if you recall aforementioned year of hellO, you should understand my desperate desire to spoil them silly)! I pretty much know what to get for all of them but I really really want to surprise DH with something since this is our 10th anniversary as well! He's a wee bit trickier than the kids. While we both grew up at Disneyland(and are still growing up there)neither of us are Disney fanatics in the traditional sense! So aside from planning on getting him the Little Black Book of Disney Facts(book title created by moi,its on the Disney Florist site tho)and the Hidden Mickey book(he loves factoids)I have no idea what else :confused3. Beer?a balloon? :confused3Can you sense my desperation?? I already bought him a beautiful watch for our ann but wanted a "Disneyish" gift waiting in the room. He loves behind the scenes type stuff, hence the books but what else is there? I'm back to a 6 pack with Mickey ears hanging off ;)
I had wanted to order a cake at one of our dinners because, well, I am all about cakes! You lost a tooth? Congrats here's a 3 tiered cake!! You grew out your bangs? Yay! Here's a fondant covered beauty to commemorate the occasion! However, since I upgraded us to the Deluxe Dining plan  I am assuming we will not enjoy having a massive cake to finish(remember also the cupcake&candy crawls:sick:) SO WHAT CAN I DO??!! He needs some spoiling too

A big THANK YOU in advance!!:cheer2:

If you are like us and are on the DDP, by the end of your trip, you might be tired of desserts so maybe not a cake. Not knowing your husband or his tastes, I don't know whether to suggest a pressed coin collection book, a list of adult beverage locations :drinking1 or a list of the times the belly dancers perform in the Morocco pavillion! :lmao: Wait, that's ideas I would give to my wife for me! Nevermind. :rotfl2:

Belly dancers!!! PRICELESS!!

Love your break day and mmm cupcake crawl!!! :cloud9: Look forward to hearing all about it.

I agree with the thinking that a cake will be too much whilst on the DxDP. The only thing I can think of is Sammy Duvall and Water Sports etc but not sure if your DH would enjoy it.

I'm in! It sounds like you definitely deserve this vacation. I know what you mean about the planning, I feel like planning something in great detail (especially vacations!) saves my sanity too. Here's to hoping that your Disney trip kicks off a great year for your family to make up for the rough one you've been having!

1st We made the last payment on our trip so our packet of goodies should be arriving soon!!
And 2nd..
THEY POLICE FOUND OUR WORK VAN!!! Sans tools of course but at least our newly paid off van was returned!! YAAHOOOOO!!:worship: :woohoo:

AND we just found out DD6 is in the top 20% of the entire 1st grade classes in her school(there are 7 classes)!! So she gets a Belle dress bought for her today!! :cloud9:

It looks like we have even more reasons to celebrate on our upcoming trip!!:thumbsup2

28 days to go!!!!!
I ordered the gifts from Disney Florist but ran into some problems. They are touted as the only ones that can set things up in your room prior to arrival but the lady I spoke to said that they deliver to hotel&the hotel sends a runner to deliver so it may or may not be in their prior to arrival? That kind of defeats the whole point of ordering welcome baskets:confused:
Oh well,I'm trying not to freak out about it, worse case scenario we stall around a bit so they can get it to the room! AND, they are called DreamMakers& can make any dream come true but I couldn't order anything that wasn't on their website, like specific ear hats besides the plain black ones?? Isn't that weird? I also couldn't order dresses or anything for my daughter but on the Disney commercial they show a gilr arriving in her room and there being a lil princess suitcase wth a tiara&dress in it?? I don't know if it was just the lady I got. Or if I should even bother trying to speak with someone else? Anyone else encounter this problem?? Just curious!

Ooooh and the worst thing possible for an OCD planner, they changed park hours at MK!! I had planned the schedule arounthat were non MVMCP & had the latest hours & only 2 days had the park staying open til 11. Well now of course 12/3 MK is open 8-1am!!! I totally would have chosen that instead of AK that day had those hours been posted 6 months ago!!! So do I change our plans&try to switch ADRS OR PRETEND I never saw the change?:headache:

Thought now would be a good time to recap our dining locales 2 years ago, a mini review on the pre dining review

We went in 09 with my in lawa and when our daughter was 3 & son was 1 1/2. It was a train wreck of a trip. We had booked a pirate room for the kids&they were soooooo excited for it. We hadn't even landed whne the problems started - we had got bumped from our hotel due to a dance comp & they put us at a 1 br at SSR. Beautiful but not the pirate room our kids wanted or the food court we needed for the kids. So 2 days of our 6 d day trip were wasted sorting out the mess. Due to the mix up&coninueing mix ups we basically only ate at the parks. We seriously went on Pirates,Teacups,Peter pan,the Safari and walked around Ws. If memory serves me correctly we ate at:
1900 Park Fare D
Akershus D
San Angel D
Crystal Palace B
Rose&Crown L
Boma D
Cancelled CRT & Tonys Town Square
I personally don't recall eating anything on than a plate full of Zebra Domes at Boma. With the kids being the ages they were I wasn't able to enjoy a relaxing meal since the other 3 adults in our party were, ahem, busy shoveling food into their pieholes!:headache:
I will say they loved the food at Crystal Palace even though it was waaay too bright&noisy&cramped between tables for me.We really enjoyed the vibe in R&C(since we are Anglophiles). My husband had the shepards pie, which he loved. I had the burger, which I got a bite of before taking the kids out on the peaceful patio to chase ducks! I have no idea what the in laws got but remember their heads down the whole time & oohing&ahhing that. It was so good. We loved the inside of San Angel,so pretty&relaxing. I remember my husband not caring for steak dish he got but I enjoyed the bite of a chicken dish with a cream sauce that I had ordered. My MIL got shrimp something & FIL another carne dish. Again, heads down bellies full so I know they enjoyed yet again. Are you picking up a theme here? We weren't really impressed with Akershusn food but LOVED the character interaction! DH being the adveturesome eater in the fam did enjoy the cold buffet. Boma was the favorite of the trip, hands down my DH's fave& my fave as well for atmosphere&Zebra domes alone!! I really don't recall eating anything else! 1900 Park Fare was by far the BEST CHARACTER EXPERIENCE OF THE TRIP! Sooo fun The 3 carnivores loved the prime rib and I enjoyed ...a bite of something chicken! Hehe

I PROMISE this review will be waaay more detailed as I am bound&determined to eat EVERYTHING!! We wasted our snack credits that trip, we thought that since drinks&popcorn were listed that was the only thing you could use them for!! DOH!!:headache: Thanks to all the beautiful food porn here&on the DISNEY food Blog I am sure we will more than use our 104 snack credits on loads of sheer awesomeness!! Naploleans, dole whips, CUPCAKES OH MY!!!:cloud9::banana:

Watch out WDW - The Griswolds are coming back & we are prepared this time!!

Im a fellow addict/enabler and POFQ fan! Love the music and the food in the resort!

We are so excited to try POFQ, we had wanted to stay there last time but the pirate room won! Can't wait to try the food!!:cloud9:

Oh my goodness, I just found the Food Porn Facebook Page. That place is awesome! It is really helping me narrow down and unfortunately, broaden! my choices for next year's trip. All I can say is Bring on the Cupcakes!

20 days!!!!! Does anyone know,on a random side note, which is easier to use to ship stuff prior to arrival? UPS or Post Office? I'm hoping one of you can save me from actually doing the leg work

We're back!! We had an AMAZING time at the World,in fact trying to plan our next trip!:thumbsup2

We loved the Dlx and would totally do it again - had some definite faves and learned some new things and have some places to take off the list for next time! Now for the bad news (as I hang my head in shame:sad2:) the new title of my food reviews will be: Food porn addict of 3 under 6 does not have time to admire food&thus create food porn. Sigh That's right not one pic taken of any of the delicious food consumed! For shame!! I am kicked out of the club,my membership revoked!! I will try my darnedest to paint the most vivid food pic possible in my reviews!
Hopefully, I will get to start my reviews soon. The day after we got home, everyone in my family, sans me,got the most horrible stomach bug I have ever experienced-I'll spare you the gory details as this IS a food board!
First review will be from Kona Cafe-stay tuned!

Can't wait to read your reviews! Even without pictures it's always a fun trip for me.
