We make "mouskeeping" tip envelopes every year before we go down (hoping to do it today)

How much would you tip for 2 staying at POP each night?

When we statyed at deluxe I tiped $4-5 (around there)

and and CBR and POR $3 each day

Please advise . . .

Please don't tirp the maids. They like tips alot better! ;)

I think 3 a day is usually great!

:rotfl: Oh, those darn typos! :)

We tip $5 for 2 people no matter the resort - we figure they work just as hard at a value/mod as they do at a deluxe. Delxue may mean changing sheets more often, but at the values/mods they may have more rooms and more with families. Oh, and at a deluxe for turndown we tip $3-$5, leave it on the pillow. :)

Anyway, that's what we like to tip:flower3:

I usually tip $1.00 per person per night ($4 a day for us). But, if I had six $1 bills, I tipped $6. If I had three $1 bills, I tipped $3.00. Usually, by day four or five, I have coin change out the wazzoo so I'll leave all of my change whether it be $4.00 or $10.00.

I usually tip $5 - $10 a night regardless of resort and I've stayed at Pop, POFQ and the Polynesian. $5 I tip if it's only me and DD. $10 I tip if it's me and my DD and 2 DNs. :thumbsup2

Out of all the posts i've read about this (and there have been ALOT), i'd say between $3 to $5 is the norm. We usually do $5.00 per day, but anything left i'm sure is much appreciated by Mousekeeping. We've been left thank you notes and towel animals on a few occassions as gratitude.:goodvibes

do you leave a tip for them each day or do you give them a lump sum at the end of your stay?

For just DH and I we tip about 3 to 4 bucks each day....we never get any towel art either but oh well

Each day because if the regular housekeeper has a day off and it is the day you leave the larger tip, then the person on that day will get the entire gratuity.

After all these posts I'm beginning to think that I haven't been tirping enough!

OP - sorry to have fun at your expense. Follow me around for a few days and you'll find something for sure to get even with me with!!! ;)

You've been tipping more than I have! I don't tip at all for normal services. If I ask for something extra I'll tip but not for what is to be included in my room rate that I paid Disney.

We slap a fiver on the nightstand before heading out to the parks for the day. Even though some don't believe in tipping the mousekeepers, it's a tough job for little pay (I mean, think about some of the things they must have to deal with each day! :scared: ) and I'm sure they appreciate the tips very much.

I never thought about making up envelopes for mousekeeping. We'll have to do that for next time. I'm sure my sons would enjoy decorating the envelopes!
