Age of kids on adr

Looking to make adr soon and I notice the price and menu changes for kids at a certain age... for example- at royal table two of my kids are over the age for the kids menu but would want the kids menu choices. If I reserve and pay adult price can I request a larger kid portion? Or should I adjust their ages on the adr so they can have the kid option? I’m more worried they get to order food they will actually eat. (They are on the cusp age-wise) . Any advice appreciated!

You need to put their correct ages on the reservation, but they will allow anyone (adults included) to order off the children's menu. However, they'll typically bring an adult portion, if I remember correctly. If it's not a meal where you pay per person (such as Cinderella's Royal Table), they might be able to split the meal though. Ask the server if you can do this if they both want the same thing.
