Can young teens use the fitness equipment with us? Specifically our DS13 had taken a weight course in health and fitness at school and would love to use the weights. Is he allowed if we supervise?

Thanks!!

thanks Dave---I couldn't find the minimum age posted anywhere..that's what we needed to know :)

i dont know what days but last year when i was in common grounds i was 13 and we were aloud to go down to the weight room with the group and work out for about an hr i think.

Absolutely not. The age for use of any of the fitness equipment in the spa area is 18. I was on the 2/7 cruise and overheard a father trying to get his 17 year old in--promising that the kid would only be there with the father, etc. The cast member was very polite, but very firm that for safety/insurance reasons, you had to be 18.

There is sports equipment available on deck 10.....

The answer to your question in NO. I know this because my daughter is a competitive figure skater who wanted to use the gym to keep conditioned while off the ice. She works out on this equipment daily at the gym where she trains. There was no exceptions to the rule that 18 was the minimum age to use the gym. I was told that the teens in the teen program had 1 or 2 sessions prearranged to use the gym and that was the only time under 18 teens would be allowed, and to use only certain equipment with supervision. My daugther could not take advantage of the 2 sessions through the teen program because it conflicted with our 2nd seating dining time. Disney cruise line is firm in this rule. Also, under 18 teens are not allowed in the spa or hair care studio. Hope this helps. Bee

Teens cannot go any tme they want but there is a set schedule for working out on the Teen Navigator.

Thanks yamahaboy for your help, hope you had a good time. Was it very crowded when you were in there?

i didnt go when the teen group i just know they did. When they did go there was only about 2 or 3 teens that went with.

Just checked the last Navigator from the Western posted on Barb's site. They have a "Pump it Up" time from 9-10pm on Sunday, Monday,Tuesday, and Thursday. It says "weight train, curcuit train, or just get fit with your Stack Crew. Limited spaces available. Sign up before 8:30pm at The Stack."

Hope that helped.....
