AG - Did anyone's DD get Chrissa for Christmas?

My DD5 got Chrissa for XMas, and she loves her so much. We get her dressed in a different outfit every morning, and we change her at night into her PJs. I think Chrissa is a beautiful doll, with brown highlights in her hair and blue eyes. Plus, I'm fortunate to have gotten her as the TSV at QVC back in July. My DD is already planning on Julie for her b-day in Nov.

And, I was thrilled to find out that the Bitty Baby/Twin dresses fit the bigger 18" doll. This gave us more clothing choices. So, if nothing else, Chrissa is a beautiful doll, and more importantly, a way for DD and I to bond.

My daughter got her from Santa along with her craft studio and picnic table. She loves her. It's her third AG so they have been having lots of parties!

My DD got Chrissa for C~mas as well as Gwen & Sonali, C is lovely I love her dark hair & blue eyes ~ I also think Sonali is beautiful.

My dd got Chrissa....this is her first doll. I really wish we had gotten on board with the AG thing sooner but this was the first year she even showed an interest. We are going to Atlanta for her birthday and she is going to get to bring Molly home.

This has been her favorite gift for this year and she plays with her constantly and has been taking her everywhere. She is lying in the floor now in her matching Chrissa pjs....she thinks it is so neat that her and the doll match.

DD got Chrissa from Santa and loves her so much! Chrissa is the only AG doll that looked anything like my DD. She has blue eyes and light brown hair just like DD.

She has gone everywhere with us this week.

I'm hoping to make a trip to an AG cafe someday.

My DD got Chrissa for Christmas. She is a beautiful doll. I love her eyes. I had read the books with my older DD. They are really good too. More than the dolls, I love AG books.

She has great hair. We didn't get her, but after getting dolls with wavy or curly hair, nice straight hair is next for us! Seems MUCH easier to keep up!

my DD got Chrissa for her birthday back in september, and she LOVES her. of course, she loves all her dolls and even at the age of 12, she still plays with them. my grandmother got her kirsten for Christmas, since she's being archived, and DD was beyond thrilled.

Ahhh, glad to hear about Chrissa.

Chrissa does look like my DD....blue eyes, same hair(actually DD got back to school hair cut based on AG catalog pic of Chrissa), on swim team and loves crafts.

DDs play with their AG dolls everyday. Even all this week the doll have had Christmas parties....giving each other gifts, stockings, etc. DD used craft foam sheets to make the AG dolls different color iPod Nanos....LOL!

I wish we had Chrissa.

DD8 has Chrissa. We bought her last Feb when we went to NYC to celebrate our joint bdays. She doesn't really charm me like Nicki, Marisol, Jess, Kailey, and Lindsey did.

Maybe it's her story that put me off -- anybody else notice the book is much meaner than the movie??
Maybe it's the lack of furniture/clothing/pets/access in favor of additional "friend" dolls which IMO we didn't need. DD8 did get Gwen & Sonali at Christmas from my DM but doesn't seem to have bonded with yet b/c they're still boxed & sitting in the van. If she doesn't show some interest in the next week or two, I may just exchange them for the 2010 DOTY.

Anyway, my personal whine aside, DD8 seems to like Chrissa and her hair is, thankfully, very easy to keep looking nice in young hands. I hear the new DOTY will be a blond with longer curls somewhat like Nicki's. I love that look - can't wait to see the actual doll pics at midnight tomorrow - but gosh those curls are near to impossible to keep looking nice...

I wish we had Chrissa.

She should be available at the benefit sale in July. If you decide you want her later send me a pm closer to June/July and I'll pick one up for you at sale price. Ebay prices have already gotten downright silly on Chrissa stuff...

Awesome! Thanks so much. Can you tell if she's got that Josefina face mold like the others? I don't do so well with face molds - ashamed to confess they mostly all look the same to me.

The bangs are a different touch to most of the recent introductions and her hair doesn't look as long and unmanageable as I'd expected. Of course, I said that about Rebecca too and her hair looked mussed an hour out of the box too. Either way, I suspect we'll need Lanie too, especially b/c she's a blond.

Here's hoping Lanie's world includes more limited edit clothes/access girls can afford and not more "friends"...

I wanted SO badly to get her for my DD, but by the time I had the 'ok' from dad to order her she was gone..... I know its going to sound pathetic, but I sobbed and sobbed (also pregnant mind you LOL) bc I felt like such a bad mom bc my DD wanted her SO badly and I couldn't get her..... She looks JUST like my DD, even the same length hair LOL I'm still not sure how to tell her they just don't make them anymore....

They're calling for ice & snow so, on top of the holiday crowds, I know I haven't a snowball's chance of driving hours up to NYC to wait in line and being in that first 100, but would love to see a pic of what the lucky few get. Please post if you do. Inquiring... okay, I admit it... nosey dancemoms want to know...
