Afternoon Tea sold out already for Oct 19th?

Anyone know if the Afternoon Tea at the DLH is sold out already for Oct 19th.... or do you just think it isn't loaded into the system yet? I think that day just became available to book starting today, and I'm surprised to see no availability.

Do phone reservations open up before online reservations?

Also, I have a four day DLH reservation starting Sunday the 20th... I assume I can't use my "hotel guest" benefit to call and see if they have any tables held for hotels guests but ask for the day before, Saturday the 19th? I'm flying into SNA and land around 11, thought I would swing by Disney and have noon tea before heading over to the Universal area of things for Halloween Horror Nights. Then I'm back to Disney to check in and be in the parts Sunday onwards... so I have a slight chance of booking a Sunday tea tomorrow if the Saturday is really sold out, but I would prefer to do it on my travel day rather then miss park time

I would call and ask. Breakfast and dinner are loaded for ST55. And tea DOES sell out that fast. I've seen it sell out prior to 630am. (When I tried, but a friend included me on hers when she logged in at 430am....)

When calling would they be able to tell if it was loaded into the system and sold out, or would they just be able to see "no availability" and then I would still be guessing if it's sold out or just not loaded...

Same here! Last year it was subject to the same 60 day as the rest of the dining options. I suspect there will still be delays till that full operating schedule is released.

The DLH Afternoon Tea is the one thing I’ve found can be actually “competitive” to book, especially anytime it’s a special theme (like Halloween), so it’s possible it’s sold out.

I don’t know about the Tea, specifically, but dining reservations seem to go live sometime between midnight and 3am, Pacific time.

I've been told it is around 4-430am. A friend who regularly books tea says she has to get it by 430a (pacific time).

Wow. I'll have to set my alarm and hope that the system is up and running. It would be a bummer to get up and still be denied due to the technical issues--as so many others seem to have been! I can sympathize with the anxiety of not knowing when the system will open and worrying about missing the chance to reserve.

Interesting note: A few days ago the official website listed a "Haunted Mansion" theme for the tea in September/October, but when I checked just now I don't see it listed.

Haunted Mansion tea starts Sept 6th and runs thru Halloween.

When we booked our tea last summer it was a last-minute replacement for the WoC DP (which was cancelled because of the WoC issue), so I was booking it, like, two weeks before. I couldn't reserve it on the website, but I was able to call and get a reservation for it. So that might be an option.

I'll certainly keep an eye out daily to see if something opens up, but when I just called they said both Oct 19th and 20th looked to be sold out, even for hotel guests on the 20th (I'm checking into the DLH on the 20th, staying over at the Sheraton near Universal Studios on the 19th). I checked last night around 1am and then again when I woke up at 8am but the schedule wasn't available before I went to bed and showing sold out when I woke up

I would recommend being online at that time since their phone lines don’t open till 7am I think

I’ll still hold out hope for snatching the tea reservation at some point... and actually it just dawned on me that I’ll be down there through the following Saturday and Sunday, so maybe two more chances later this week, they just don’t fit as perfect as my the 19th which is my travel day

Teas have gotten more popular. And Haunted Mansion (like ALice in Wonderland) is extremely popular.

Likely sold out. I've been trying to get a Sunday for the Halloween tea. They are never available. I know from years past, it's a high enough demand item that it usually fills in a couple hours. I am giving up on it at this point.

Keep looking for cancellations. Sometimes I've had more luck looking for reservations much closer to the date than 60 days out.

When booking do you have to specify the tea you want? I’m just getting a general page to book the tea but not asking if I want Haunted Mansion or Alice...my daughter would like Alice.
