Has anyone done this? I'd love to hear what it's like--I've never been any time of year. I made us (me, bestest friend, my two little girls) a reservation for 4:30 on the 20th, thinking we'd go over after the Christmas parade at MK and enjoy some peace and civility. It seems like a dress up opportunity to me, although we will be at the parade prior to going to tea, so we won't be too dressy.

Thanks for any info!

Both of my DDs and I love doing the Afternoon Tea at the GF. We have done it twice now and we all decided it will be a tradition for the 3 of us (DH gets to find something else to do :goodvibes). I have seen people dressed up for the Tea and some people in just capris. I and my girls tend to get a little bit more dressed up (sundresses/skirts) because that is just the way we are. I would think that going to the GF for Tea around Christmastime would be awesome because you can just gaze over to their gorgeous tree in the middle of the lobby. Have a great time :goodvibes

DH and I did this around the holidays a few years ago. It was a anniversary treat. It's so pretty. It's right next to the gingerbread house and they put wreaths on the windows and that tree in the lobby is gorgeous. It's beautiful just in the tea room itself but with the Christmas decorations it's a special treat.

Lovely to read the comments about the Afternoon Tea at Christmastime - I've made a ressie for 27/12 as a surprise for my Mum (shhh ;) )

We were non too impresses with the afternoon tea at the GF, thought it was very overpriced and the sandwiches were not that fresh. The tea was just horrid. On a good note the ambience is good and the GF does do Christmas time well. So taking all that into account it was just OK...

I'm happily jealous for you! I would love GF tea at Christmas. I just had tea this year there and loved it, the whole experience, and I adore the Lifesize gingerbread house at GF at Christmas time. ALl of it rolled into one would be phenominal. FYI- our waiter was patrick and he has worked there 7 years and he said prince phillip and his wife and kids visited GF and LIKED the afternoon tea. Apparently there is a special blend
