For those of you that have taken a one year old to WDW did the baby resume his/her bedtime routine when back at home? Ours go to sleep at night when we put them (twins) in their beds and close the door which is something I know can't happen at our resort. Anyway, I am a little concerned that our week vacation may mess up their routine at home. Thanks for sharing:)

Ours had no problem when she was 9 months or 18 months, but we have a nighttime routine that we've done her whole life, and she still sleeps in a crib.

We took DS last year when he was 12 months. The trip definitely had his schedule all messed up (early mornings, late nights, naps in the stroller, etc.), but I don't recall having a problem getting him back to his normal schedule when we got home. He was so happy to be back in his crib, he was out like a light. Maybe the first day or two home he was a little off, but nothing too serious.

We took my son at 15mos and again for a quick trip at 18mos (to check out DVC). He's always had a bedtime routine, and we stuck with it as much as possible throughout the trip. He actually did resume his schedule relatively quickly each time. I think it was smoother the second trip because we got a 2br at a DVC resort and he had his own room. That was actually one of the reaosns we bought into DVC - 2 little kids and many years of Disney vacations - seemed like the ability to have a 2br would help a lot in the long run.

Things did still go ok when we had the one room, though, it was just a little tougher on us adults. :goodvibes

We took DD in December. She was back to her normal bedtime routine when we returned home with no problems.

Same reason we bought DVC, and I have a soon to be 6 yr old(23 days) and a 10 yr old and they do much better in a separate room with separate beds. Plus that 2nd bathroom is a real plus too.

Our DS was 11 months old the first time he went. I thought we would have the opposite problem because he is a creature of his schedule. (i.e he becomes a mini-monster is he is up past bedtime, even today at 3.5 years old) and we would have to call it an early night. He did great and was up many nights until park close. However, when we got home he went right back to bedtime and 7:00pm and sleeping through the night. :thumbsup2
