We used a different ins for a cancelled cruise but had to deal with United. By chance when you canceled the flights did you get the usual credit. We canceled before Covid and my mom was placed in hospice. Ins told me I had to wait till the credit expired and get a letter from United saying credit expired without use. Problem is because of Covid they kept extending the deadline. Finally after almost 2 years I got a hold of the right person at United who had the power to actually issue me a refund. Good luck. It can be a pain
