Anyone planning to brave the hoards of people and hit the after Christmas sales? What about the long lines at the return counters to take back the itchy orange sweater from Aunt Millie? :goodvibes

I doubt I'll have anything to return, but I love to stock up on stuff for next Christmas. Wrapping paper, gift bags, gift tags, decorations, etc are all the sort of items I'll be looking for.

Also gifts on clearance for next Christmas. My kids teacher gifts were bought on clearance after last Christmas. With only one income for a family of 6, buying things that way allows me to save money and actually choose nicer items than I could if I had to pay full price. I just pack them up in a storage container for the next year.

I also stock up on little toys or other items for any b-day party invites we might get through the year. Every penny counts. :flower: If you find any good deals let me know!!!!! :)

I usually hit up Papyrus for wrapping paper, tags and cards day after Christmas. They sell the Marcel Shurman line which I love!! Plus they are a card store so no crazy return lines and not too many people in there to begin with.

Don't know if I'll brave the crowds or not. I have family arriving later Monday afternoon. Though I did pick up some good gifts last year for my daughter to give to her friends this year. Will have to see how I feel that morning.

DH said he wants to go out, so we will. It is fun for me, as long as I don't have to get a certain thing. I need wrapping paper for some charity gifts that we have to wrap way early and can have a problem getting when we need it.

I don't know. I hate crowds, so I don't know if the savings tempt me enough to get me out.

I may surf the net to see if there are any good deals to be had on the web. But its not worth dealing with the crowds to save a $1 or $2 on a roll of wrapping paper. There's nothing we need, so why leave home?

That's a good idea. Shopping online, that is. I hadn't thought of that. Although, I don't mind the crowds as much when I don't have a list of my own that I have to shop for. You know? When your just out walking around it's not as bad for some reason. Get a smoothie from the food court and walk around and people watch, you never know what you'll see!! :rotfl: And if you find a great bargain, even better! ;)
