We are checking out of the Yacht Club on a Saturday, but the Magical Express isn't meeting us till 4 for our return trip to MCO. Is it OK if we go to the pool? Or any other suggestions for a relaxing last day?

I wasn't sure if they allowed going to the pool after 11am check out time.

The day we checked out of the Beach Club, we left our luggage with the concierge, swam in Stormalong Bay, and ate at Hurricane Hannahs. We left in the late afternoon.

that's great to hear, we look forward to sleeping in and relaxing after a busy week with the grandkids!

As others have said, you have access to the pool until it closes on your check-out day. Other ideas - have a nice breakfast/brunch (we really enjoyed Ale and Compass for breakfast at YC), take a stroll on the Boardwalk, play mini-golf at Fantasia (you should have free passes from your resort package, add yet another day to your ticket and stroll around EP one last time!

We slept in at ate at Ale and Compass for breakfast. It was excellent I definitely recommend it.

Also as a note there are nice shower facilities near SAB that you can use to freshen up before you catch your bus. Last time I was there I took a nice shower after a hot sweaty day at Epcot before I boarded the bus back to the airport, it was so nice to be clean on my flight, just don't forget to not pack your deodorant and send it off via RAC like I did, it is not cheap in the shops.

Great Suggestions! I made AP's at Yale & Compass for 9:30 and then we will relax by the pool. So nice of Disney to let you enjoy the pool after check out. I'm so excited for this trip. DH and I will have 2 days together at POR, then meet my DS, DIL & 3 Grandsons 5,2 & the youngest will turn 1! We only see them 2-3 times a year. Last year we met at Disneyland, it was a fantastic trip. I booked an extra night so we could unwind before going home! Thanks for all the help

We will definitely take advantage of that Shower!! What is SAB & RAC ??

SAB is Stormalong Bay pool
And just to confirm what others have said, we've used SAB pool before we had a room assisgned to us and after we've check out / before flight.

Oops sorry for the acronym soup. A previous poster covered SAB. RAC is Resort Airline Check-In service. It allows you to check your luggage in at your resort for them to transport to the airport/airline for you if you are using a participating airline, I have pasted the link from Disney below that explains it better. I stupidly left my deodorant in my checked luggage and sent it to the airport early that morning after I used it, forgetting that I had plans to take a shower later and was forced to buy inferior expensive deodorant at the resort gift shop.

FYI If you don't feel like rushing to get your checked luggage to RAC (IIRC it closes at 1pm?), you can leave it with Bell Services at the front desk of YC (they'll lock them up in a 'secure area,' they tell me, if you tell them there are valuables like iPads). Seems whenever I go to RAC the line is long and slow, so we just drop bags at Bell Services now and bring them with us to MCO. Just one less thing to think about/plan (but YMMV). Oh and we like having our stuff with us: we've been caught in rain more than once, and I'm tired of wet bathing suits in my carry on.

Stormalong Bay is the place to hang out. You can have lunch at Beaches and Cream, too.

Ditto.

Just make sure your luggage is brought to the airline stand (not sure the real name!) by noon. Just keep your carryons with you.

We went to the pool on our check out day when we were at the Beach Club last July and it worked out very well. We checked our luggage for the flight home at the resort airline check in counter before going to the pool. We wore our bathing suits to the pool and had our clothes and toiletries in a small carry on bag that we kept in the lockers at the pool. The lockers are free, they lock with a pin code, and they are inside the pool area. We had lunch and then used the showers that are located near Beaches and Cream. The showers have towels, shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. :)
