UGH!

Last day of classes was December 21st, and today I go back.

My College is a big mess right now. Library under major renovation- closed for the semester. I'm not sure where they've put everything to make our "make shift" library.

Book store was just bought out. Not all books are available yet...etc etc.

And today I start with algebra for idiots. The class Im going to hate more than Anatomy and psyiology II....

My Humanities class isnt on my student web yet, and my online class isnt confirmed yet...

What a mess!

I wish I could crawl back in bed

Me, too, Brandy. I work at a college, in the office, and last week and this week are two of my worst of the year--but fall is the absolute pits.

I'm just dreading it and can't wait till it's over. Because I'm one of the people that gets to deal with all the problems! :teeth:

Good luck with your classes!

Can you figure out why my humanities class still doesnt have a professor, but its not listed in the change/cancelled class list?

I'd appreciate all the help I can get

(thats what I'll be saying at 9am when I get there)...I'm sure you've heard that before LOL

Classes start for me today too. First class of the day.....8 am Statistics :scared1: Did I ever mention how much I hate math?

Good luck today! and just think- in 16 weeks this semester will be over LOL

Trust me, statistics at 8am isn't as bad as some of the courses I've had early in the morning.

Can anyone say Chemistry Lab!? Tired kids + chemicals + bunson burners = not such a great idea.

OP: I'm sorry your college is putting you through that but remember, most colleges are like that. I had a class that the professor decided to go to China halfway through for something like 5 weeks. We had a total of 4 classes and had to write a 15 page essay for the final. Somehow I got an A. I like to think I have some great essay writing abilities.

My DS starts his classes today too, we brought him back yesterday and he's SICK, up all night and can't shake his cough. I think it's going to be along week for all of you :grouphug:
Too bad you two don't go to the same school, he tutors (20 students) in Algebra/Calculus and loves it! He volunteers his time just to see his peers succeed!

Good Luck Everyone, I hope everything works out this week.

Well I survived stats for today. She wasn't feeling well, so no lecture, just introductions :cool1: That being said, I think it's going to be a much better 8 am class than the science/philosophy class that I had at 8 last semester. The prof is very enthusiastic. I'm off shortly to get hockey tickets for this weekend, then I have my honors seminar at 11. That one is Medicine and the Law. Should be very interesting, from what I've seen online

Glad things are looking good for you already!
Are you going to school for medical or legal? Just curious!

Lynn, I'm actually undeclared. But every student in the honors program has to take an honors seminar by the end of their sophomore year. Most of them have nothing to do with majors, they're just different (sometimes) interesting topics. I am beginning to lead toward communication sciences and disorders (speech therapy) as my major, and have always had an interest in medicine, and this class just looked too interesting to pass up.

I started back last week. Today is only my 6th day of school and my economics class was already cancelled this morning. :cool1:

I'm taking statistics this semester too, but at 1PM not 8AM. I have NO 8am's this semester because I never went to the one I had last semester. I managed an A, but I was miserable and had a tough semester health-wise. This semester I start at 11 everyday (I'm a commuter, so that makes a difference as well) and I feel so much better being on a schedule where I get up at the same time everyday and have the same routine. It's really helping me to concentrate more. :)

Sounds Great! I hope you enjoy it!
My DS took an honors seminar in Politics, Law and the Courts at the State House last semester and he enjoyed it! He said he learned a lot and it was very interesting. He was excited just being at the State House.
He's doing another this semester, but I'm not sure of the topic, something like Japanese, Mexican and US Policies?
I think HS's are a great way to get a well rounded education, don't you?
