This trip no kids & grandson. Whoosh....
Just us gorging ourselves on all the tastiest of morsels and pickles.

As many of you know every trip I like to focus on one particular food item.
In past trips I've focused on pickles, burgers and bread puddings of Disney.
This trip gonna explore kids meals, you heard that right. Why not. I am a huge kid.
But it's mostly gonna be adult meals.

And for anyone who has not read my many fulfilling trip reports, brush up buttercup lots of reading and drooling....

This trip we are staying:
3 nights ( 1 bedroom) Beach Club
12 nights ( 1 bedroom) Saratoga

Just got home yesterday and lots of pics for everyone to Salivate over.
Also a fun day visit to EPIC UNIVERSE. Lots of food there as well.

Also we had an interesting meeting when we were at the airport here in Philadelphia when we got home , ran into Dolph Lundgren from Rocky 4, he was very nice and pleasant to speak with.

We got to attend the preview of the new park EPIC UNIVERSE ( 5/12) , opens on May 22nd. Our morning started out raining hard which is always a bummer but upon entering the park is very impressive.
When we arrived it was pouring bucket of liquid upon us. We did hustle over to Darkmoor to get out of the rain and ride
Monsters Unchained. By the time we were off after a short wait, the rain had stopped luckily for us. Very impressive ride but we're here for the food mainly so let's get to that.

Overall, we are very impressed with the new park food options. It is far superior to the other Universal Parks which we always found horrible so I'm glad they really stepped up their game. Also, which was very impressive is how well themed all of the restaurants really were. It went well beyond typical theming, and they were all very well thought out and extremely fun to eat inside. Glad we were able to enjoy the park at a much lower capacity before the grand opening chaos ensues.

We loved all the amazing theming everywhere but all the restaurants really
set the bar to a new height.

We also grabbed a refillable Coke freestyle mug which we loved because at all the different portals each land had its own unique soda flavor and they had zero sugar options for all of them so we did get to try them all and we enjoyed them all.
The refillable cup is well worth the money. Disney needs to do a in park refillable cup like this.

Really liked starting the day with the mango bread, it was moist and tasty,
also slightly sweet. Like me.

More Epic goodness:





This is a huge waste and rip off. Tasted off putting, like Donkey Kongs
ball sweat. If you get it I hope it shrivels your banana.....








Pizza Moon was also a great surprise, most pizza we've had at theme parks were always god awful,
and this was very good. Excellent pizza and very well done for a theme park.


We really liked it and it was basicly a fancy-ish burger with gravy and fries.
Well executed, and much better fries than most theme parks. Disney ( hint hint)


We loved and adored this. Much better than expected. Very tender ( like me).
Gravy was stupendous and the fries in the gravy is the only way to enjoy.
Wish this was served at Disney. Crazy thing that this is a quick serve meal,
like all the food we got. Loved the ordering at the table. Very convenient.

Our favorite was of course the Frozen butterbeer, nothing hits
like that creamy sweet goop. It's like a mouth-porn inner facial
of a love sneeze......

MORE EPIC


Loved all the theming and really like the winged glider coaster. Much faster and intense
than we expected. On the way to Disney on the plane I watched for the first time
HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, in lieu of coming here and glad I did. I LOVED THE MOVIE.
Never expected that and made me appreciate the land more I believe.

at Saratoga
