I have a few friends and read on other message boards that this fall people are having a terrible time getting into restaurants if they wait until they get to disney to make ps's. I am going with a party of 10 Nov. 24 thru Dec. 3,
I did make my Thanksgiving dinner reservation(Liberty Tree) but really was not
looking to fix myself into having to be here and there at certain times, wanted to play day by day and make reservations either night before or morning of, but I am now afraid to wait. Last year we went same week and had no problems anywhere. Does anyone know if this free dining package will still be effective late nov? I am hoping that is why people are having hard time with seating in sept and oct. Any advise is appreciated. Was thinking of
going to Whispering Canyon...looks like lots of fun.... :earsboy:

Hello Mom...... We just got back from all of "the World" 2 days ago. I too was hesitant to make adr's. Well.........am I glad I did. I made them for every night. If we made it fine......if not I could call and cancel. Every where we went, they were turning away the walk in people. At Le Cellier in Canada, we waited about 20 minutes even with our adr's. We watched as they politely and consistently turned away person after person. We were sooo glad that we had made reservations. So in my opinion, make a loose plan for each day and go ahead and make the adr's. I think you will be glad you did.........we were....... :flower:

The free dining will no longer be in affect, but I would think twice about having no ADRs for a party that big. I was at the world last Sat. (10/1) and we could not find a restaurant anywhere on the monorail that had any openings. We ended up doing fast food which I hate!! Remember if your plans change you can always cancel (which I would do out of consideration due to the size of the party). With the new package discount, it seems like alot of the resorts will be busier than in the past. Unless you like the counter service rest. I would make a few ADRs. You may be able to get away with making them the night before though to leave you more flexability.

Have a great trip. I will be there part of that week too.

I am going the exact same days, also with a prty of 10. I made more ADR's than i normally would. I figured we can always cancel them if we change our minds. With a party of 10 I'm afraid it might be hard to just walk up and get seated.

ETA
actually the last 3 days it will only be 5 of us and I didn't amke an ADR's for those days

Yep, with a party that big, I would have a PS for dinner every night. We make PSs almost every time we go out, even though we're a party of two and we live here, even during off times. There are no negatives to having a PS, you can always cancel it with no penalty as long as it's not a CC deposit meal.
