Affordable custom shirts?

Last year i did the iron on transfers.
They looked really nice .... then we went on a water ride and the ink ran..
So this year i was thinking of spending a little more. I found a design on etsy. How can i affordably put this multi colored design on 8 shirts?

If you don’t own a machine to cut vinyl your easiest option is to look into local artisans. There are almost always people on FB who make shirts like this from home. I suggest finding someone locally so you can a) see the product before you pay & b) avoid shipping. Make a social media post and boom! You’ll have a million people interested. Offer to buy the blank shirt yourself - often you can save more, but the quality of what you buy v. what someone may be able to get you may be worth the extra. Expect to pay $5-10 per shirt for a relatively simple design on one side with only a few colors. More complex designs or multiple colors will cost more. Ask what type of vinyl they will be using - siser HTV is pretty standard but some newer crafters will use cheaper brands that won’t hold up.
I recommend against buying a design & placing it yourself with an iron as some Etsy vendors may sell. A good shirt will be made with a heat press - the heat & the pressure are what what makes the design stay put. It is not easy to replicate that way reassure with a domestic iron & ironing board.

Ask around at your kid's school, especially the art teacher. Lots of teachers have side hustles. I have found somebody to make a ton of different things this way including wreaths, Yeti cups, custom t-shirts, cupcakes, etc

This ended up being the best idea ever,
We slso have a creative lab with a vinal cutter and heat press. Now i just need to find a great pattern.

I wanted to share what i made, i bought the design on Etsy for 1.50, 4 shirts were 14.00 for at Hobby lobby and transfer vinyl was 11.00 on amazon used the design lab for free.

Another option could be if you have a Disney charge they do design shirts . It's actually really hard to find the create your own page but if you hit it at a good time maybe a good discount there.

They have one at Disney springs but the shirts were 29 and up so pricey if you need a bunch. Order and pick up same day.
