If you look at the Checkin Area in the center of the third picture, look towards the bottom of the picture and a little to the left. It's right there in front of the building.

Wow, they have done a LOT since we were there in March!!!! I like how you can already see the water play area taking shape! When we were there, the lobby had not yet been started. It was nothing more than a cement slab in that part!

I thought the parking was to be inside the building. If that is the case then hopefully there will be stairs/elevators at numerous points and so less of a hike to the rooms.

Hey does anyone know what that grassy field area is in the first picture, on the top left corner? Is that Animal Kingdom Park? Can we get to the park from the resort there?

That appears to be the golf course at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club.

I think that is non-Disney property. And everything I've seen says there are no plans for a walkway to AK at this time.

Also, the first-floor parking might be valet-only. Don't know that, but I think I read that somewhere.

The units closest to the entrance of AKL are 'skinny'. They appear to be one-deep, Savannah-side only. Any know if that is the case?

I don't KNOW that for a fact, but someone else posted on a thread about percentages of rooms that would be savanna and those that would be parking lot/garden/pool views and stated something about the first few buildings being one deep, savanna view only as helping to make a majority (80% maybe) of the rooms savanna view. I think I had heard that somewhere else also.

It's definitely not Disney's Animal Kingdom (the park.) If you look at the third image, AKL would be off the top of that image about a mile away. From the angle of the first image, DAK is more behind you than anything else.

Yes the first three segments are one villa deep. That's great because the view from the back side of those first segments is of the AKL employee parking lot. Actually the back side of the first segment is the trash and delivery area, so the good news is: no dumpster views! By the time you get to the first double-sided segment, the view improves quite a bit -- more greenery, less blacktop.
