Hello, I am wondering if you think this will work-my family wants to have dinner at the California Grill and try to catch the fireworks from there-I called and got a PS for 6:20 on Jan. 31, was told fireworks will be at 7. Does this sound like a good time and place to catch it all?

Also, our room is at the CBR-what is the best way to get from the CG to CBR after dinner with 2 children, ages 4 and 7? Thanks in advance for any imput and suggestions. :wave2:

I too will be staying at the CBR, and want to go to California Grill for a fireworks dinner on March 12. I can't find the time of the fireworks that night, but want to call soon to make my PS reservations. Anyone know where I can find fireworks times? DisneyWorld.com doesn't have a schedule for them yet.

As far as getting back to CBR from the California Grill, I would say hop on the Monorail in the contemporary, take it over to the Transportation & Ticket Center, and the hit the bus back to CBR.

Hi there, when I called about dinner times and the fireworks, the CM on the phone told me they are scheduled at 7p.m. but said at the time schedules were not printed up yet. I would say call and get the operator to guess for you, make your ressie, and then call back just before to see if the fireworks schedule for the week you are there is out yet. Good luck,

We just switched our's around since they changed the time of the fireworks. The CM said dinner typically takes an hour and a half.

Yes, your time is good, however please be advised that California Grill no longer lowers the lights or pipes in the music.

Take the bus to Downtown Disney, stay on until the 2nd stop in front of Planet Hollywood. Get off there and walk to the bus stop for CBR. That way, you will won't have any other stops before you get back to the CBR grounds. I am not sure that they will have a bus from TTC back to CBR, and the busses from MK to the resorts stop running about 1 - 1 1/2 hours after the park closes (so if it is within that time frame, you could walk over to the MK bus stops,) but this is the safest way not to get stuck.

I think a 6:20 for 7 fireworks sounds good. When we wre there they basically held whatever your next course was during the fireworks so that you could go and watch from the balcony if you preferred. So, sit at 6:20, peruse menu. Order wine - server brings it, place order. Appetisers come - then fireworks. Dinner will come out after the fireworks. Seems ideal.

:flower1: just an FYI;
DW and I were at the world last week. Had dinner at CG the 30th. We were told we could come back to watch the fireworks, just show the receipt from your dinner. We verified this with our server also, and he even suggested to come back for dessert and fireworks. Well actually that would have been our second dessert, but who's counting? BTW it was a GREAT meal.

Is that really true? Do they not lower the lights and pipe in the music for the fireworks? Darn! I had this whole wonderful mental picture of that in my mind and wanted to eat there to experience it! Oh, well!
