We are having quite a dilema!!!! Can you help with advice?!?!

We were just at DW in December with plans to maybe go next Jan/Feb.
But, to our wonderful surprise, we are pregnant again with our 3rd! :sunny:

So, the baby would only be 1 or 2 months old at the time (jan/Feb)...way too early to travel IMHO....

We had considered going this Sept with free dining. I would be about 6 months PG at the time.

We currently have a 2yo and an 8 1/2yo. We had considered maybe waiting till our 8yo is going to turn 10 (still 9 at the time for child prices) and celebrate a wee bit early birthday for him there in Sept of '07.

But....that just seems SO far away!

On the other hand, we have a "budget" paying off most of our bills plan-except for house and one car. If we decide to go this Sept for Free Dining it will put a crunch in that plan...

One side of me is wanting to go sooo badly this Sept., since the baby put a bit of a crunch in our plans. (but a good crunch :goodvibes )

The other side of me wants to just stay with our budget plan and get that done and save a bit more $$ for going next Sept '07.

SOOOOO....... what do you think? My DH and I just go back and forth with this one because if we went this Sept we would get free dining and our 2 yo would still be "free" as opposed to when he is 3 next Sept and we pay more for him.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2

I thought about that. I know it would be a slower pace.

But, also waiting to go when the baby is 9 mos old is a slower pace also, esp for me who will have to fed him/her!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for your input.

I'd go in Sept. Your 2-year-old will still be 2, and your baby will be much easier to care for while you're still pregnant. At least that was the case for me (pregnancy was more relaxing than a 9-month-old). ;) You won't have to worry about whether the baby is sleeping through the night, etc. Of course, you won't be able to ride everything pregnant, so you have to decide how important that is to you. Have fun either way! :thumbsup2

I would also go pregnant as it is definitely gonna be harder going with 3...one of which is going to require you constantly meaning your husband will be looking after the other 2 constantly. You may not get back again as soon and you also never know what another baby brings...as when we had our son Matthew. He has been too sick his whole life to travel until this May (he's 8) and it was our first ever family trip!!!
Unless the bills are piling up I would seize the day!
You never know what's around the corner and free dining is sooooo worth it.

Congratulations - what happy news!!! :goodvibes
I would go this September - you will be able to focus much more attention on your 2yo and 8 1/2yo.

Good luck deciding! :flower3:

Appreciating all your advice!!!!! :thumbsup2

I was thinking the same thing about not riding as many rides this time being PG than if I would wait till the baby is 9 months old...BUT...the baby will require alot more.

Wondering if ANYone thinks we should wait?!?!

I do know people say they really enjoyed taking the baby when it was an infant, BUT...did they 2 other kids with them also?

More advice would be great!!!!!!!!!

I would never do WDW in Sept. pregnant. Way to HOT!!! We did go when my 3rd DD was 9 months old and we all had a fabulous time. Good Luck and Congratulations!!!

If the dr gives you the ok, I would just go this September. I, too, had a child where everything did not go as planned. We could barely go to a family member's birthday party nearby, let alone travel and stay away from home. Only you know your financial situation, but if you are not going to go into financial distress for this trip, I'd go pregnant. Especially considering the free dining and the 2 1/2 yr old being FREE still! And gee, you'll fit better into a hotel room this year!

More good input...

I did consider that it may be hot...that is a really good point!

I am glad to hear someone else went with 3 kids and one was 9 months old. If my oldest son would be like 12 or 13 I would consider him more of a help, but at 9 he won't be, I fear....

Still so very confused.

It would not put us into financial distress, but it would definitely put off our "pay off the bills by next summer" plan.

If we had loads of $$ sitting around I would do it in a heartbeat!!!!!

They DID have free dining last year around this time, but will it still be free Next year?!

Oh the stresses................. :confused3

Looks like most of you think we should go This Sept.....

I will share your advice with my hubby...we will see what he thinks.

Paying off most of our bills by next summer IF we do NOT go to DW this Sept is SOOOOOO tempting (and prbably smart (?))

:confused3 :confused3

There is NO WAY I could have walked around WDW 6 months PG. Maybe 3 months but not 6. Let alone the heat. think you should wait since you were just there. JMO Also, remember every pregnancy is different, what if you plan it and there are slight complications. Sure, some pregnancies the woman can run a marathon until the day before giving birth, but many people I know have been on bedrest at 6-7 months or my one friend was so swollen from toxemia she would have been miserable. Just something to keep in mind.

You are right about the possibility of bed rest or being miserable...
I hope , whether we go or not, that I am not miserable!

Thanks for your opinion :sunny:

Hmmm...I hit 30 weeks today and I can't imagine doing WDW now or even a month or so ago. I am going on vacation in two weeks but it will be a less strenuous one. I did worry about the possibility of having to cancel if something went amiss with the pregnancy - so far so good. My parents rented a home for all of us in Maine and I would have felt terrible if we had to back out.

Personally, I would wait awhile. We took our DD's in May '05 and we're not even thinking of going again until little guy is 2. The girls are ok with this and it will be even more exciting to get back to WDW after a 3 1/2 year break. But, that's just me... If someone had told me I'd even consider taking a child younger than 4 to WDW even last year I would have laughed out loud yet here I sit planning a trip 2 1/2 years from now with a 2-year-old! So things change!

It sounds as if you're doing a great job with your budget and waiting a little while might be worth it. So, in your situation I'd wait until your little one is 9 months...you'll all be that much more excited! Good luck with your pregnancy and planning! :)

Thanks so much for your input/advice. It was very insightful...

we are still discussing it.
I know with my other 2 I was fine up until about 35 weeks.
But, this is a different pregnancy. Who knows?

We are the type of family that goes back to the room every day for the 2yo to take a nap and the rest of us take a good nap/rest during that time.

We will see......

Free dining seems to be one of your motivations. I'm going to ask you to look at things differently. If you delay paying off your bills you'll continue to accrue interest on them, and it's very possible that any savings you'll see in free dining will be eaten up by many additional months of interest, plus some.

Good luck whatever you decide.
