Advice please!

I am days away from booking our ADR's and my parents are planning on joining us for 4 days of the trip. The problem is, he is in bad health and they may have to cancel unless he gets better by then. If I book our ADR's for all of us and the two of them don't show, will that be a problem? They are wanting to eat with us for three of the four nights.

Please help. This has got me so stressed out because I am almost sure they will not be able to go, but what if they do? I just don't want to mess up MY ADR's in any way.

You could do a couple of different things:
1)Book two tables, that way if they cancel, it doesn't affect your ADR.

2)Go ahead and book for the larger party, then if they end up not coming at the last minute, the restaurant will probably be thrilled to accomodate the smaller party. Just explain that the others couldn't show...UNLESS your booking at one of the restaurants that have a cancel fee (Cali Grill, Cinderella's, and a few others). Then you'd just have to make sure to remember to cancel 24 hrs in advance.
