Please don't think I'm bragging...I'm a little freaked out by this, as a matter of fact.

I've been on WW Core for more than 18 weeks now, and have loved it. It really seems to work well for me, and I love the fact that I'm eating much healthier foods on a regular basis now. I go to meetings, as well as keep a record of my weight loss on WW Online.

My issue is, when I record online, I get these messages and links telling me I'm losing too fast, and all the dangers and consequences of losing too quickly are paraded before my eyes. At first I was like, " So what? It's only a couple of ounces over on average." This didn't worry me...not a lot of difference between 2 lbs a week and 2.4 lbs a week, IMO. As long as I'm eating lots of protein, veggies, whole grains, etc., and have my 2 tsp. of good oils a day, I'm good, right?

Well, I weighed in this morning, and I'm down almost 5 lbs from LAST WEEK! If this was at the beginning of my WL, I'd just chalk it up to water loss, or that "beginner's loss" that many experience...but 4 months into it?? Nothing was done differently this week, same foods, same activities, same weather...just this weird weight drop.

Has this happened to anyone else? Should I seek medical advice? I feel very healthy, and never allow myself to get hungry, but I'm a little nervous about this. My average WL per week is still only a little over 2.5 lbs.

Do you have a lot of weight to lose? Its not uncommon for those who start off with more weight to lose to lose more faster than those who don't. If the 5lbs a week was consistent, I might be worried, but 2.5lbs a week doesn't seem too worrysome to me. I wouldn't be suprised that eventually the less you have to lose your overall weight loss slows.

Yeah, I had about 100 lbs to lose, and I just hit the halfway mark. That's why the small overages didn't worry me, just this big whopper this week.

Watch...in 2 weeks you'll probably see me complaining that I can't lose any weight at all! Actually, that worries me too, that I might not be taking in enough calories (although that doesn't seem right to me...I don't count, but I eat pretty sizable meals...I usually finish an Applebee's WW entree, and usually a glass of wine, or the home equivalent, every dinner, and a healthy lunch and breakfast, and snacks, and 1 pt desserts).

Could the 5 pound weight loss be because it had been that time of the month, and along with what you wuld normally lose, you lost some water weight also?? At any rate, it sounds as though you're doing great! My DH almost always loses 2-3 pounds per week. We're both doing WW, and have done it in the past with the same results as you.

Nope, not my TOM. Actually, this is my PMS week, in which I usually retain water.

I guess I should just be thankful, and stop worrying so much.

I agree. Consider yourself lucky!!! You could try taking a typical day and adding up the calories just to be sure. Maybe if your fast weightloss continues, you can take a break and try maintaining for a few weeks. However, if it were me I'd just be happy to be "on a roll" and roll with it - knowing that it'll slow down soon and when I hit maintenance I might have to be extra vigilent.
