just looking for some advice.
Basically we were originally booked in a 2bed standard view villa at AKL for 10 nights from 12-22 nov.
Some of our party have had to drop out so we now no longer need such a large accomodation.
Disney allowed us to drop down form a 2 bed to just the studio for our original 10 nights BUT
We were originally going to universal studios for 4 nights before this but as it is now just me, hubby, my mum and our 3 month old, it doesn't seem worth the cost of the passes etc so we are trying to stay just in disney for the full 14 nights! We also have 52 points that we have to use by febuary or we will lose them so makes sense from every perspective.

So far we have phoned up every day and managed to get the 8th nov in a studio at SSR for the 1 night, and today managed to get a savannah view studio for 1 night on the 9th.

We still don't have ANY accomodation booked for the 10th or 11th and really don't want to have to move hotels every day with a baby especially.

SO...... my question is where is our best chance?
I have tried to research it and so far am under the impression that old key west, saratoga springs and savannah view at AKL are the best chances for a waitlist coming through?
Are there any others that we would have a "better" chance of?
Also.....
We are currently waitlisted for 9-12th at saratoga and 8-12th at AKL. Would we be better changing thest to 10-12th and then if/when we get accomodation for the nights we DESPERATELY need trying to get the "odd" night then? Would the chances of the 2 nights coming up be much better than the 3 or 4 or is this not really going to make a difference?

is a studio at Beach club or comtemporary very unlikely? I am assuming this is a silly question, its just we normally go with a big group (2bed) and in the summer holidays so we would NEVER have the points to stay at one of these resorts.

any advice would be much appreciated, I tried to ask for advice from cast members I have spoken to but they don't seem very forthcoming with the info I need!! I suppose thats their job though.

Thanks in advance.

Or should we waitlistceach night seperstelyvat one resort? Akl would be best but would Saratoga have more chance? Would that be a better idea so we would waitlist for 1 night on 10th and 1 night on the 11th and then try to change the nights we already have once we have secured all our nights?

Again any advice on "tactics" would be much appreciated x

DVC does not allow waitlisting each night separate.

I think what you have now is your best bet.

I might just wait list the nights you have nothing yet and then if those come through, change the wait list for all the nights.

And, I would limit it to OKW and SSR. Good luck!

I would wait list 1 night with each. You have a better shot with 1 night.

I would also call daily.

ok, i phoned again and still no availability,
i have changed my waitlists to;
1 night SSR in studio 10h nov

and same for the 11th.

hopefully we will get one of these at least and then we can waitlist the 9th at saratoga so we wont have to change resorts too often.

if we can get 1 of the nights at least we can always pay for the last one if we really had to, although i will keep phoning and stay on waitlist until the bitter end!

at the minute I am phoning up twice a day, once about an hour after they open and again towards the end of the day. how many times is too much? should i increase to 3 or 4 times a day or is this pointless?
I am on maternity leave at the minute so thankfully have the time to harrass member services!!!

should i also do online requests for different resorts? i know this may seem overkill but i don;t want us to have to spend extra because other people have pulled out, especially when we are now in a studio instead of a 2 bed!!

I personally have never picked up the phone for a waitlist (and all have come through that I've had) -- there's no way I would be calling multiple times a day.

And why would you do online requests? You're only permitted to have 2 active waitlists - and I'm guessing you already have that covered with what you have already done on the phone.

I am another who doesn't call..

So far I have missed two waitlists out of a LOT

1. I needed a one and a two bedroom for BCV during Food and Wine... Probably could have gotten one of them, but...

2. AKV Concerige Marathon Weekend. (Snowball's chance in heck!)
