Hello everyone! It's been a while. So . . . I opened my big mouth and now I am planning a trip for next year with 5 adults 1 teenager and 3 year old and a 2 year old. I have done many pricing options and have recently began to think about renting a DVC - what are your thoughts? We would be going in June or July and staying for about a week.

We are going in a few weeks. We actually are renting a 2 bedroom condo at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. It is over 1200 sq ft with washer, dryer, fully equipped kitchen and sleeps 8. All for $800 for 7 days! They have 3 bedroom available too. Definitely worth checking out since it is on Disney property. They also have 5 pools 2 lazy rivers, put putt, water slides and more. Hope this helps!

I've done 7, but never 8. However, mine were all Adults, so you might find this useful.

If you want to stay On Property, then definitely look at the DVC rentals. We usually end up in one of those. We've been to a variety of them, but I recommend Bay Lake Towers. Depending on who can sleep with whom, a two bedroom villa there can accommodate all 8 of you. One bedroom has a King Sized Bed, the other is either 2 queens or a queen and a sleeper sofa, then the living room has a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair.

Most of the other two bedroom villas have one less bed.

This year we are trying the Treehouse Villas, which would also accommodate all of you, as it has 2 Queens, 2 Bunk Beds, 1 sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair.

Good Luck!

Plan!Plan!Plan! In 2013 I planned for a year and a half-16 people from 4-82- stayed at AOA in suites and little mermaid rooms( too far to walk). We went the first week of October! Everything was perfect! This website was very helpful! We did MNSSHP- ate at Les Chefs de France, Chef Mickey (kids favorite),Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic package,Akerhaus princess dinner, Ohana,BOG lunch and 1900 Park Fare. Since December I have been planning our trip for 14 in November! Staying another day because that was my ONLY regret- not staying one more day!! Here are a few of my hints that helped a lot:
1) AOA - has a dedicated bus- we are staying there again
2) matching shirts- tremendous help
3)stroller! Frogg Toggs cut in half if it is hot
4)day by day written out itineraries for each room- inc.FP, lunch, dinner, color of shirts, etc
5) have pre made tip envelopes for magic express and mousekeeping ( each day)
There is so much more! Do your research and you will have a magical time!!!

You might want to look into staying at the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs. We had a party of 6 there and there was so much space - everyone had their own bed and it was great having a living room for the adults to relax in when the younger group went to bed. They are really beautiful and unique. There are some down sides such as the bus system there but if you plan on spending some time just chillin' - it would work very well. Plus there are at least 3 bathrooms!
