advice on getting discounts

We are planning an early October visit. I've been several times lately. The first time we paid rack rates and the last 2 times, thanks to this board, we were able to book discounted rates (we got the 7 for 4 deal last summer). It looks like I've missed the 3/31 deadline on the 7 for 4 deal. I do not have a Disney visa (yet).

Any suggestions on how to proceed? Should I go ahead and book at our preferred resort and wait for a code? Should I apply for a Disney visa and hope they extend this offer?

Check www.mousesavers.com for info on discount codes. It's a little too early for October codes to be released. There also is no guarantee that Disney will release discount codes, but it looks like they are starting to do this again.

Do you have AAA? You can book a room now with a AAA discount. If/when a discount code or promotional package (like the 7 for 4 package) is released you can usually switch over to that discount.
