Please help me solve this probem? I usually shave my legs in my morning shower; however, by late afternoon, I begin to feel the need to shave again. :confused3 Does anyone have similar dilemma like mine? Should I bring a disposable shaver or a small travel size rechargeable ? :teeth:

Any advice is appreciated. :wave2:

Of course, it's really up to you, but do you want to spend the whole day dragging around a razor, then find a restroom to actually shave in the afternoon while you're in the parks? Even at a water park, I wouldn't bother.

I'd say there's enough people around from a variety of countries (and personal grooming habits) that i wouldn't worry about it, if it were me. Of course, if it really bothers YOU, then go ahead and do what you're comfortable with, but I wouldn't worry about what other people thought.

Personally, however, I get my legs waxed before I go on vacation, which means I don't have to shave at all while i'm there. Waxing duration varies, but I can usually go at least 2 weeks, sometimes even more, befoer needing to do anything (then I follow up with my epilator, since it's only a few hairs that grow back at a time).

Just a suggestion!

I bring a razor and shave every 2 or 3 days... I don't care about the little bristles... but do what you are comfortable doing and just have fun... You're at Disney :cool1:

Are you asking if you should shave AT the parks during the day??? If so, my answer is NO... don't waste your fun time doing/worrying about that. Trust me... no one else will know but you!

I don't think you're going to be growing bushels of hair in just a few hours!

Don't take a razor! Just do it in the morning, I do it every 3 days or so and always feel clean shaven!

Thanks for all your suggestions. I guess I should just let my mind off the my legs for a few days. It is some sort of compulsive behavior I must learn to shake off.

There you go... you are already getting in the Disney spirit. Just relax and have fun. You probably will be having so much fun YOU won't even remember they need shaving.

she has to shave everyday (the joy of her paternal French heritage). I, on the other hand, come from good pale Polish & Northern Italian stock and have barely visible white blond soft hair. I shave once every couple of months whether I need to or not!! Shaving more than once in a day?!?!?! A little obsessive I think. Live a little, It's vacation and we promise not to look at your legs!! :rotfl:

Seriously think about the waxing, it should give you a much better time if you are going to be bothered by it every day.

seriously dont worry about your leg hairs, if anyone is close enough to notice they know you well enough not to mind

Just a suggestion...but if you are thinking about bringing in a razor of any sort, I would check with Disney...I bet they are not allowed. I mean you cannot bring a pocket knife or an open razor blade, and I would guess that applies to disposable razor blades and even rechargeable ones that can be broken open to get to the blade. It's a safety issue for them I bet. Just what I think.

if waxing is not an option, i would try getting a man's disposable razor- one with 3 or more blades. my hair grows very fast and i too will shave in the morning and by night time have hair back. recently, when cleaning out a cabinet in the bathroom i found my brother's mac 3 razor w/extra blades so i used it. my legs felt much much smoother. i have heard of women using a newer men's razor (gillete fusion i think) and getting better results. it may help. don't bother shaving at the park though.

I agree with Oceana-those who get close enough to your legs to care if they're prickly, won't care if they're prickly!

I've been using a pink double-blade razor (Family Dollar brand) and my DH's shaving cream and getting a nice, smooth shave. My hair is light but grows quickly, and I can go 4-5 days using this way. Perhaps this would work for you to feel comfortable all day?

You'd probably like the Quattro. The Schick Quattro for Women is the BEST razor I've ever used, and I think I've used just about every brand of "good" razor and never found any good enough to justify the cost, going back to disposable. I got a free Quattro last year (they give them away on the site from time to time so I have 4, LOL!) and won't use anything else now.

Not at the parks! Seriously - try to lighten up on the shaving thing. If you truly are uncomfortable later in the day, take a break and go back to your room to freshen up your legs. But - why stress about it? You're at Disney!

My first thought when I read this was "Oh please the bathroom lines are long enough now on top of the cleaning fanatics in there cleaning more than I do at home, someone will be tieing up the stall shaving!" Good thing I'll be dehydrated from the August heat 'cause the bathrooms will need fast passes soon to get in.

my second thought was who is going to be looking at you that close! I sure hope you don't have to shave twice a day for your DH. With all the other crazy guests and their get ups and other attributes some stubble on your legs will be far, far down the list of things to notice. Relax, have fun. ( I'm wondering how many DAYS I can go without shaving!)

Oh yeah ....I've used a mans triple razor for a while now - MUCH better than female ones.

BUT, can you waxing advocates answer a few questions for me??
1. Do you alway go to a salon - or can you get as good results with an at home kit?
2. Whats the cost at a salon - approx.?? I'd love to try it but have no idea the basic cost (so dont know if its feasible....)
3. When you go to have it done dont you have to have kind of long hair...so about how long is long enough (2 or 3 days worth?)

Thanks, if you know...cause I've never known who to ask! (DH seesm to have no idea :) )

Have you tried Nair? I've found that it seems to last longer than shaving, plus the hair grows in softer (less prickly) and I don't get ingrown hairs.
