I know, I know. . . two very different choices. But see, I'm kind of a foodie in withdrawal since I have two little ones now. I was thinking an opportunity to see Remy would keep the kiddos occupied somewhat.

The group is me, DH, my parents and DS 3 1/2 and DD 18 months.

I have never eaten at either, so give me the pros and cons. I need help! Many thanks!

I prefer Les Chefs for the food.Garden Grill is yummy and has great character interaction.Be aware that at Les Cehfs, it is not like a character meal.Remy rolls thru the dining room on a cart and 'performs" at certain times( not any on Sundays) and once he goes thru, he doesn't come back around. So if you are not seated in time( we weren't) you can miss him completely

Here is the info on Remys times!

Greetings from a Fellow Foodie! _I_ was very underwhelmed by Chefs, but I wuld not tell you to not go. Garden Grill, just ate there a few months ago. Flank steak and veggies were outstanding as was the salad. Turkey was "standard" and dressing was out of a box. Dessert was berry cobbler with cake mix out of a box topping. Ice cream was good.

I think Chefs is one of the more overrated restaurants in WDW (along with LeCellier) and I would make no special effort to eat there again. Given your kids' ages, I would definitely go to Garden Grill. I think they'll enjoy the experience as a whole much better.

Garden Grille has the BEST character interaction!! The characters spend so much time with the children. It's also the quietest character meal due to the high booth seating. It's my boys favorite restaurant!:yay:

Unfortunately, the food is just ok.

I try to schedule our "good" meals during lunch while my little one is asleep. I had the best lunch at LeCellier while DS napped. ;)

I have been to both and I don't love the food at either (sorry:blush:).
That being said I would choose Garden Grill for the characters. Remy is very cute and our kids enjoyed meeting him, but he is at your table once for about 2 minutes.

Definitely Garden Grill! Remy would be more appreciated by an older child. He is so small and kept at a distance from children.

Garden Grill has great veggies, salad, flank steak. The character interaction is outstanding!

Chefs has a great menu, but everytime I go they mess up the execution. Twice my steak has been overdone to the point of reminding me of shoe leather. They are so busy that if you send it back (like I did one time) it takes FOREVER. And when it arrived the second time, it still wasn't prepared correctly. I am not picky, but they mess up my entree every single time. And the escargot made me feel queasy for the rest of the evening. It was really rich (swimming in butter) and heavy on the garlic. I usually love escargot, and I was disappointed with theirs.

Most recently, I went to Chefs for a salad and dessert, and that was nice. I ordered the sorbet and it was really good. Maybe that is the way to go? I have always enjoyed their dinner salad with French roll.

Thanks everyone for the good advice! I think we will probably stick with Garden Grill!

Two great restaurants! We would do Garden Grill for dinner, and Chefs for lunch (so I vote for both!)

The food is good at both, and the character interaction at GG is outstanding and continuous throughout the meal - so it will definitely entertain little ones. It's our arrival night tradition, and we have 3 boys - they love it and we really enjoy the food!

We went to Chef's for the first time last month for lunch - primarily to see Remy. We loved it - food was great, CMs were really friendly and Remy's visit was fun (but it was just once and very brief.) Based on our experience and review I've read here, we'll stick with Chef's for lunch. We had a great table with a beautiful view by the window and the lunch atmosphere (very kid friendly) and prices were great. I'm sure dinner is also kid friendly, but I heard that Remy isn't around past 6pm and some report the atmosphere is a bit less casual then.

We have eaten at Garden Grill each time we've been to WDW. The food is good and the character interaction is the best. The characters really make your child feel special. Every single member of my family loves it.

We have never tried LCF, but are going next month as one of our "new" dining choices.
