I just switched from CSR to the POLY for convenience. I have a 6 year old and wanted to use the monorail since I know we will be spending most of our time at the MK. Can anyone tell me if the pool at the POLY is nice and offer suggestions about the resort to me? I have a room with a lagoon view. Any information is appreciated.

DGATTO:

You will love the Poly, especially with your 6 yr old. The volcano pool is wonderful and it is zero entry in case your child is not a strong swimmer. With your lagoon view, you will be able to watch the fireworks and the castle change colors from your room (my kids love that). Go down to the beach to watch the Electric Water Pageant as it passes the Poly each night. Lots of people like O'Hana's for the character breakfast or family dinner. Check our Tikiman's website for lots more info:

Have a great time :D

Check out the resort childrens activities if you have time. Your resort newspaper will list them. My ds love the arcade challenge and did the pool games once. They also have the neverland club open from like 12-4 for arts and crafts and movies I think. A parent must accompany and bring resort id. You might want to take advantage of the on site neverland club for the evening if you want some alone adult time. Its an excellent kids club. Our ds didnt want to leave when we came to pick them up. They offer dinner, movies, games, etc. I dont know the charge. The afternoon neverland activities are free for resort guests. Watch if you feed the ducks. What started out as a nice gesture turned into screaming and panicking for our one ds when the whole bunch decided to turn on him and dh had to rescue him. You will love the poly. Grab a hammock by the beach and relax. Bring a few sand toys for fun too.

The pool is fantastic. Zero entry works well for kids I think. I can't speak from experience because we don't have any kids. We like the Hawaiin music piped under the water and the way it seems like the pool spills onto the beach and into the Seven Seas Lagoon. The Poly is the most magical, the most convenient, has the best CMs, huge rooms, lush surroundings, relaxing atmosphere, good food and drinks (we love the Lapu Lapu). Need I say more? You'll have a blast.

I've decided that I need to go with you because you may need a tour guide. Where do you live - I'll be there by the time you leave. Or, I could meet you there. That's no problem. I can drive there in 9 short hours.

You've chose wisely!;)

Besides all the great advice you've already received I would add to be sure to take the launch :boat: to or from the MK at least once. It is a wonderful way to travel. It makes a circuit from MK>GF>Polynesian>MK.

Have a magical stay!

We love the Poly!! It's one of our favs!! The pool is wonderful, your child will love it. It is a very relaxing tropical resort.

Have a Wonderful Vacation!!

I advise you to have a great trip!!!:p And then post a trip report, we are going to the Poly for the first time in June and can't wait. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Have a WONDERFUL time!!!! :) Our family loves the Polynesian. Try to get to the Kona Cafe one night as they have great food and it's a restaurant that's often over-looked. The desserts are a lot of fun if you just want that. (You can see them on display - when we were there last week they had Lilo & Stitch made out of chocolate on display (not for sale) )
