:wave2: I am a newbie, so please excuse any errors...
We are planning a trip (DH, DD (for 7th b-day) and myself for a long weekend at WDW in January. We will purchase multi day park hopper passes --although we will probably only have 2 days to "do" the parks.
I think she would really love a character breakfast--am leaning towards the one with Cinderella in MK.
We are also thinking about staying at either Pops or ALl Star Movies.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE--what advice, stategies, suggestions can you share?
We are limited on budget (that's why the budget end of hotels). I realize that staying off property is cheaper, but I am willing to spend the extra (not that much, I guess at that time of the year).
Any advice on hotels, how to do the parks, hotels, food, etc are very welcome.
Also, a quick question--we have 4 days (including travel). Would you do a Friday-Monday, Thurs-Sun or Sat through Tues in order to avoid crowds?
I am thinking that MK is where we will be mostly.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate all your advice

Welcome the world of Disers.......glad to have you!!! :flower:
MK is busy on Mondays. We usually do the end of the week and have better luck. Others may say differently. Where to stay is hard. You will hear good and bad about all the resorts. Do what you think is best for your family and budget. We love the breakfast in Norway in Epcot with the princesses. princess: It is good food and lots of individual attention. Maybe it was just our seats.....
Whatever you decide, Disney is a magical place to be. Enjoy!!!! :cool1:

Marathon weekend will be busy--it is January 8th (half) and January 9th (full)--it will wreak havoc on accurate timing of bus travel. My hubby--was on a bus for 1-2 hours when I spoke with him at around 9:15 or so as I exited MK doing the full. I had called b/c I didn't see him and wanted to tell him I was out already. He was en route from POFQ to MK.

So keep that in mind with your plans. To look forward to it all and be stuck in that--while it is ordinarily a great weekend to go--with limited budget and limited time--you just might be kicking yourself for it.

If you can afford the time--you might have a better go of the parks during the week. The weekends--even in a non-busy time..tend to be more full due to the florida "locals" hitting the parks. So whatever gives you a weekday to do the parks and not travel--would be good.
