Advice for those of you with Nov/Dec trips booked

We leave this Friday from Chicago, so we will be wearing something warm (35 degrees in am) on the way there. Weather looks to be mostly low 80s/high 70s while we're there so I'm packing shorts/short sleeve shirts for DS, capris/short sleeves for me. We will wear long pants there, plus packed one pair for each. Sweatshirts, rain jacket/windbreaker & rain poncho for each. DH doesn't want to pack for 10 days & insists he will do laundry.

I have half of a very large hard-sided suitcase devoted to just princess dresses, and that with with me squishing them down. Those things are puffy. I think our duffel bag days are at least a few years into the future.
Try rolling them, and/or putting them inside a 2-gallon zip lock bag. The bigger bags are hard to find. The XL space bags are too big, but the 2 gallon (or better 2.5 gallon) bags are super.

That said, I do not suggest putting all your clothes in ziplocks. Too many bags quickly becomes a hassle.

A bonus of clothes in plastic is few(er) wrinkles.

Then again, another trick of removing wrinkles is to hang stuff in the bathroom while you shower. If that doesn't do it- take the top off a pump style hairspray bottle, and mist (most) items with a little water. Smooth, and air dry or hit with a blow dryer. Quick and works like a charm!

Our first December trip, the weather forecast the night before we left said it was going to be between 70 and 73 degrees the entire week, and it was correct for arrival day, but after that there was a heat wave!
We've had both kind of non-predicted extremes happen.

One early spring trip, it was supposed to be chilly our second day, then warm up. I sadly wanted to think the predicted cool-down was a mistake.

Instead the cold spell lasted all week! Well, over the first three days, we basically wore everything I brought. One night we went to MK wearing four layers!

Another time, we went to Epcot, on a day that was supposed to be chilly. It warmed up, and I discovered the white undershirt tank I'd worn was not opaque in sunlight!

Still one more time, was a very funny day. We'd booked one night at the YC, and planned to swim. In the morning it was raw, cold, windy, so we went to Epcot. An hour later, the sun came out and it was HOT! Off came the sweatshirts and jackets. We decided to swim after all. By the time we put on our suits, it was COLD again! So again, we put on our layers, and headed back into Epcot. Half an hour later, we were carrying our layers!pirate:

I have been in early December many times. It was still quite warm, in the 70s during the day and 60s during the night. My next trip is in the end of January, which I haven't experienced yet.

Thank you all for your experiences. As I've said already...I'm bringing all seasons! You just never know.

I am going to be there Nov 11th-17th. It shows high 70's to low 80's as the high. I was planning on shorts and Tshirts and packing hoodies for at night. Is that a bad plan?????
You are already there by now I'd guess but I think you'll be fine!

Based on the 10 forecast, it looks pretty warm, even at night. Still bringing the warm things....you just never know when the weather will change!

So I'm looking at the 10 day forecast and the weather looks awesome, high 70s and low 80s for next week, with the lows in The 60s and high 50s. I know it can change and will be prepared but I'm petty excited!
