We be spending one day pre-cruise at Epcot, but not arriving until 11:00. This is our first time using Genie, we were “expert” Fastpass users! Must rides are Ratatouille and Soarin. Any thoughts on best use of LL$ and Genie+.
If Ratatouille and Soarin are must-dos, my "Plan A" would be this: Get on MDE immediately at 7AM to see if you can grab a boarding group/virtual queue spot for Remy. That should get you a spot in the queue (essentially a standby line). Then use G+ to reserve Soarin. Note that G+ will give you the next available time for LL (kind of like the original paper fast passes - you cannot select a return time).
You'll need a park ticket, an Epcot park reservation that day, and you'll need to purchase G+ before 7AM. "Plan B" depends on whether or not you are staying in a Disney resort the night before. If you are, you'll be eligible to get on MDE and purchase an ILL for Remy right at 7AM. That will cost extra money, but will allow you to select a return time that might be best for you (the boarding groups give you the next available time slot, which may or may not be convenient for you). If you are NOT staying at a Disney resort, you cannot purchase an ILL until the park opens, which is probably 10/11am.
For Remy, they will also open a second wave of boarding groups at 1PM, which might work for you, too. Remy is currently available only through a reserved boarding group or an ILL purchase. There is no 'normal' standby line available. You cannot just walk up to the ride and wait. Hope this might help - good luck and have fun!

We had a short day at Epcot to run over to a hotel for dinner. We ended up getting to the park late at 11 am, just in time for our Ratatouille virtual queue. We did Soarin and Test Track and we didn't even need Genie+. If we were spending longer there, we'd only go Mission Space, Spaceship Earth and Frozen. But even if we were there longer, 6 attractions over the span of 10 hours is easily doable with time to eat and shop.
Agree. Purchase the ILL$ for Remy or try for a BG at 7 am. You don't need Genie+ for ILL$ or the BGs.
I would not waste the money on Genie + for EPCOT.
With 3 screens now, Soarin' doesn't have the long lines it used to have. By early afternoon, the line is usually under 30 minutes.
