My travel agent informed that 4 of my cards from a batch of 8 were being reported as "unknown account not activated". I will be calling Target in the am so just looking for recent advice. Strange thing is all 4 show a balance on disneygiftcard.com
That is odd. The ones I read about before when people checked online they did not show up activated or having a balance. So, for yours to show that it has a balance on the gift card site but not when the travel agent tried to use it seems like a different problem than others have experienced.

Yes it is an odd problem. After working diligently to get to a gift card specialist over the phone with Target the representative found the cards to come up as activated, but still when Disney tried to apply them to my balance they come up as not activated. So I have to wait 3 buisiness days to see if a 3rd party representative can do something? Then if not The Target rep said they could send me out a new Target Gift Card that I can use to repurchase the cards. Not sure why they can't do that to begin with if they are capable of locking them anyway?
Did you call the disney gift card line? Sometimes when balances are checked too often or just due to a glitch they get locked on disneys end. A quick call to them should resolve it If that is the problem. Use the number on the back of the card. This is a strange situation, i had over $800 of unactivated cards from target that i had to deal with a few months ago but i would get an error message when i attempted to check the balance.

Yes I contacted the specialty gift card department. They are hanging my "case" now. I only checked the balance on each card once as I did not want them to become locked out. I will call the DisneyGiftCard site for now and see what they say too.
It doesn't look like you called the Disney gift card number, right? I think it's on the back of the card (definitely on the back of the packaging that comes with the card). I'd see what they can tell you.
I called DisneyGiftCard and they are showing the cards as activated with balances. They have no idea why The Disney agents can't get them to go through and say the only way for them to figure it out is for my travel agent to conference call with them and Disney. Seems like a lot to ask of my agent. I put an email out to her and will also wait to see if Target will just give me a gift card and mail them back these I guess.
If your agent wants your business, they will do it. Also, i would make sure they have the correct numbers and they are Input correctly. If everything is showing up with a balance, I would pursue user error.
This is making me nervous. Now every time I buy Disney cards I am checking them right away. This last trip I didn't even check mine. YIKES!!! They all worked though. I have purchased four 50 dollar ones online in the past month and they are all good.
