My friend and her dd are going to WDW with me and my dd. I've been to WDW many times. My friend has only been to DL twice and the last time they only stayed about 6 hours at the park?! (dd's are 5)

What advice do you have for her first trip? And how can I not freak her out with my overplanning?

I've started work on a schedule with the must-do rides and attractions. We are going for 5 days. We have 2 day park hoppers and are going to the P&PP. Thanks in advance for all opinions.

Is your friend normally a planner? If not, I would ask if she would mind if you planned out their itenary. Chances are she won't mind. I would ask her if there was anything special she wanted to do or thought her dd would enjoy and incorporate those things into your plan. If she isn't a planner though, no amount of telling her to look here or look at other resources would get her to do that. Most people imply do not realize just how big WDW is or just how much there is to do and see. In your schedule, leave some time unplanned (or at least kind of unplanned), so you can add something in case your friend sees something she wants to do. (Of course, dining and stuff won't work, but other things.)

Have a great time. My BF and I take our girls for a girls only trip quite often. We always have a blast.

Do not be afraid to split up for some time apart. My friend and I took our DD's (then 3) last January and we learned a LOT. We drove from Oklahoma so we really started out our trip with too much together time. Are you all sharing a room? You might think about the kiddos usual sleeping habits, etc and decide whether it will really work if you guys share (if you're planning to). We shared a room last year to save money - and although we aren't staying onsite this year (I'm a little bummed about that) we got a 2 bedroom condo to share this year as a result of last year. We are also flying this time. Just try to be very honest with each other, don't be afraid to spend time apart as well, and just have fun. There were definitely some tense moments and although we had fun we made some big changes to how we're doing the trip next month to how we did the one last January.
