Hello

We are planning on visiting WDW in February next year, and I'm just wondering how early we need to book.

We would be arriving the week before President's Day and staying for 3 weeks, which I believe would get the value rate for the whole stay?

I would be hoping to get a code or an AP rate eventually, but just wondering whether I should book something earlier just in case the hotel gets booked up? We would probably have to stay at a value resort this time round as the Dolphin is out of reach this time.

Thanks for any advice with this. :D

MAZZY,

I'M PLANNING ON NEXT FEB. AS WELL. I'M TRYING TO AVOID THE CROWDS DURING PRESIDENTS WEEK AND THE CROWDS FROM THE CHEERLEADING COMP. I WAS THERE FEB. 2ND - 9TH AND IT WAS WONDERFUL. A LITTLE CROWDED AT THE MK ON THE 3RD. BUT FINE AT ALL OTHER PARKS AND THE WEATHER WAS TO DIE FOR. NO RAIN THE WHOLE WEEK!!!!! CANT ASK FOR BETTER THEN THAT!!!!!!!

LAH

I go each year arounf the first or so week of Feb..

Usually after Feb 12 or 14th the Value season ends and you are in Prime season...very expensive and busy!

If you can swing it, go before the 12th...No crowds, cheap rates and all around nice time to be in the parks!

Just my .02!

PS..FYI..The AP rate came out on Dec 4, 2003 for Jan-Feb 2004...
I booked at rack rate in October then switched it on 12/4

I am a little retentive when it comes to vacation planning so I usually book the resort I want about a year in advance and pad the ressie by a day on each end so I have more options when I buy airline tickets. Then when those are purchased I call CRO back and cancell the un-needed days. I apply AAA discount when that comes out (about 6 months prior) and start to watch for codes. If one comes out, call and apply to ressie. This has worked well for me. Once I have my heart set on a particular resort I don't feel flexible enough to book on short notice and possible not get where I want to be.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your help. :D

If I was to book now, would WDW have the rates for next February? If not, does anyone know when they will come out?

Thanks :D

Mazzy - I booked my Feb 2005 trip for the AKL last week. the 2005 rates aren't out yet. If you book now, you'll pay based upon today's rack rate. Then when the 2005 rates come out (usually August) your reserevation rate will change to the new rate. If your rate per night goes up then your CC will be chaged the difference. If the rate per night goes down your desposit does not chage but the total amount owed at check in will be reduced to reflect the new lower rate per night.

nordtrjr - thanks for that, I think I will give them a ring soon, once I've decided on which value resort to go for. :D
