I am the organizer for our "Thanksgiving Family Reunion". There will be about 24 adults (18-67y/o) and 16 kids (5-9). We are staying at SSR (4 villas) - using 2 years of DVC points - but because of this , don't have enough rooms to get help through the "leisure groups" coordinators. I have used the Magical Gatherings to get a few of those experiences. This will be the 1st (& poss. only) time to come to DW for most of those attending. My immediate family and I are regulars, but the others would not usually have the resources to go. I want to make it especially "magical" for these reasons. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated! :flower: :flower:

I would buy Birnbaum's (or one of the other guide books) for those folks who have not been. This way they can mark what they want to see and do. Speaking from experience, it is impossible to keep a group that size together. I would plan a few of the magical gathering events and maybe a couple group breakfasts or dinners but for the most part let everyone go their own way. The minimum age for most of the tours is 16 but maybe do one or two of the tours for the adults. By the way, the Safari dinner is excellent!

Whatever you do, don't try to keep the group together. There will always be someone who wants to pop into a store to shop or needs to go to the bathroom.

God Bless you for using two years of DVC points for family. I sure wouldn't do it but we won't go there.
