We are Disney veterans but never tried Universal - staying at Fort Wilderness - figure we'll take a Tuesday off from WDW and do as much as we can of Universal / IOA in one day. The idea of getting unlimited express access is attractive even considering the price, but...

What would you advise re: ticket options for Universal/IOA in the 1st week of February?

I'm tempted to get the 2-Park VIP tickets with Unlimited Express entry if/when the 2011 prices come out... BUT

Is this "overkill" considering the low season crowds? Should we just show up and figure on relatively low crowds mid-week?

I really don't like a non-refundable "do it or lose it" deal given the chance of funky weather... How close to the dates have these tickets been available in the past?

When are they likely to release 2011 tickets / pricing?

Thanks

I think you would be fine w/o purchasing the VIP tickets. It's generally not that busy in February to warrant spending the money. Spring Break? Yes...early February? No.

There's no telling when the 2011 rates will be released...I would assume by mid-December? You can purchase the VIP tickets on the day you're going at the gate I believe so that shouldn't be a concern for you.
