Advice at 30 day check in…

I just did my best 30 day check in last night at 12 AM. I had the DCL website open and the app open on my phone. I had a lot of trouble uploading pictures and it kept clocking on the website. Not sure if that was because of using a phone instead of my computer. We have DCL transfers from the airport so I didn’t need to get a PAT time. I decided to go into the app while I was clocking on the website and I was able to select kids club times in the onboard activities without finishing the check in. I finished check in this morning. You might need passport #, expiration dates, d days because mine didn’t auto populate - our 5th cruise. You also can add a credit card and flight info. You need selfies (pictures of each person - I used school pics of the kids) and a passport picture too.

I had similar problems at the 30 day check in for our trip. I used the web site exclusively. It was very random about what documents it would accept in which form.

We had a party of 7, some using passports and some using birth certificates and drivers licenses. The web site seemed to accept passport scans in .PDF format, but not any of the other documents. I wound up (at 12:30 AM) having to convert many documents to .JPG format, just to get them uploaded.

To add to this frustration, Disney did not review or "accept" these documents until 5 days before our sail date. Then, even more frustrating, we wound up having to produce the originals when we checked in at the port.

Disney has to come up with a more efficient way for people to do online check in. If they moved it to 60 days before sailing, they could conceivably have time to review and resolve any problems with documents with enough time for passengers to fix them.

I wish they would allow uploading of documents, emergency contacts, etc. to happen before 30 days, so that at 30 days you can just provide onboard payment info, consent to kids club stuff, and get your PAT. It was a lot of work at midnight.

I would add, get better web site operation. I started using the Safari browser on my Mac desktop. The site froze when I tried to upload my DW’s photo. Had to switch over to the Chrome browser and login again to complete the checkin process. Admittedly, I have had problems with the lastest MacOS/Safari release (MacOS 12 Monterey) on one of the banking sites that I use as well, so not a total surprise.
