So, after saying it over and over, I've finally gotten around to actually beginning my PTR...Three weeks before we leave! But, I guess it's better late than never! After all, I really am a natural born procrastinator.
Our vacation will be August 15th-22nd at Port Orleans Riverside. This will be our fourth Disney trip, but our first trip staying on site. This will also be the first trip that we do more than three days at Disney World. This is also a birthday celebration for my mom in addition to being a family vacation. So far, the plan is:
August 15th- Drive to Disney, check in and spend the afternoon in the pool or at DTD.
August 16th- Hollywood Studios (First time visiting the park)
August 17th- Epcot
August 18th- Magic Kingdom with a dinner ADR at BOG
August 19th- Animal Kingdom with a lunch ADR at Rainforest Cafe
August 20th- Magic Kingdom
August 21st- Epcot Birthday Celebration with a character breakfast at Ohana and ADR at Fulton's Crab House for dinner.
I suppose it's time for intros.
My name is Amber. I'm 25 years old, a teacher, actress in our local community theatre, and according to Peter Pan, an official Lost Girl! I've been a fan of Disney ever since I was little girl, and the obsession has just continued to grow. My favorites are as follows:
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Character: Peter Pan
Favorite Princess: Tiana
Favorite Disney Movie: Peter Pan and Tangled
Favorite Ride: Haunted Mansion
or Space Mountain
Favorite Disney Food: Dole Whip Float
This is my DS, Kimberly, though she goes by Kimmy. She is also a teacher, and as far as I'm concerned, an official Lost Girl as well. Her favorites are as follows:
Favorite Park: Animal Kingdom
Favorite Character: Stitch
Favorite Princess: Belle
Favorite Disney Movie: Lilo and Stitch
and Beauty and the Beast
Favorite Ride: Safari
Favorite Disney Food: Dole Whip Float
And my awesome parents, Donna and Nathan! They're both as into Disney as my sister and I, though their true love for Disney didn't really grow until we did our first cruise with DCL.Their favorites are as follows:
Mom's-
Favorite Park: Epcot
Favorite Character: Capt. Jack Saprrow
Favorite Princess: Cinderella
Favorite Disney Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean or 101 Dalmations
Favorite Ride: It's A Small World
Favorite Disney Food: Dole Whip Float or Mickey Waffles
Dad's-
Favorite Park: Epcot, though he thinks Hollywood Studios will become a favorite
Favorite Character: Goofy
Favorite Disney Movie: The Incredibles, Cars, and Brother Bear
Favorite Ride: Test Track and Spaceship Earth
Favorite Disney Food: Dole Whip Float or anything from San Angel Inn
After many months of searching through the forums on the Disboards, I think we've planned what will be a completely magical vacation! Now all we have to do is wait..And, well ya know, pack and stuff. But being the natural born procrastinator that I am, I think we all know when that will happen.
