Oh too bad that he didn't love Star Tours. So many of those dark rides, you just never know which ones will be scary. I was laughing out loud at "I'm tired"

Makes sense to me!
Awesome that he got his own shooter! That's a big boy job!
Gorgeous Little Mermaid photos! Stunning!
The "tired" excuse was pretty funny, all you can do is laugh as you try to make the ride sound like SO. MUCH. FUN!

We figured it was better to get him on and see if he liked it than just skip it thinking he would hate it. Not sure if we will get him on it again anytime soon, but that's okay!
He was SO excited to have his own shooter! We recently introduced him to TSM on with Wii at home, and he loves it.
Thanks!
You may have failed to mention the seats move????
Bad Mommy!
But, hey - he LIKED it! So Score!
Ugh to the rain! It definitely puts a damper on park touring. Get it - damper?
OK, I am such a nerd this morning.
Cute pictures of Paxton on TSM!
Ooooh, I was SUCH a bad mom.

But it got him through the queue and onto the ride. And he was not screaming or crying hysterically, so I'd say that's somewhat of a success.
We had a lot of rain to put a lot of DAMPER on our day, that's for sure!!!!
Thanks.
Great Update! It's so sweet that he wants to make sure you know when some of your favorite Little Mermaid songs are on the radio.
Haha thanks, it's really cute when he does it in the car, so it was even cuter in the show.
Boo Yuk, Rain! At least you didn't go to AK! We spent a rainy morning at AK last trip, and that park is really no fun in the rain. The animals don't mind though!
AK is a terrible park to be in after the rain too! All those trees over the walkways make water keep falling on you even after the rain has passed.
Don't you just hate when someone has a ticket issue ahead of you in line? I swear, I'm an extremely patient person, but whenever I have to watch dozens of other guests stroll into a park while I'm stuck waiting behind people have who have no idea what they're doing, I get so antsy. Just let me into the park already!
Looks like Paxton was more than ready for his own machine on TSMM. Wow, it is sort of mind boggling to think that I read your report where you celebrated him turning one, and now he's sitting in his own seat and getting on coasters!

.
I couldn't help but laugh just a little at the. Star Tours experience. Maybe your DS has learned that a mom never turns down naptime.

it's good to hear that there were no meltdowns during the ride and that the rain bothered him more than anything.
GAH, I KNOW!!! I was so stressed about BEING that person that I really hadn't considered how annoying it would also be to be BEHIND that person! It really wasn't even that long, but every second counts when you're trying to get to TSM!
Aw, I know, I was looking through his 1st trip scrapbook with him over the weekend, and it's so crazy to think how much time we have spent in Disney since he was a year old and all of the memories & changes to our touring.
By the end of the day, he had calmed down about the rain, but it was pretty stressful at the beginning of the day, despite how much I had prepped him about getting wet.
Oh my, I never considered the Fireworks noise you would hear at WL. That would make sleeping tough.
Haha, that was funny... rushing to get a picture of the hat where there's riding to be done.
"I'm tired!!!" That's so cute.
Oh my word those Mermaid photos. Wonderful.
I didn't think about it either at 9 pm when we hit the sack, so I was groaning at 10 pm and for the first time ever, wishing that Wishes would hurry up and end!

Never thought I would say that!!
I couldn't help laughing when the "tired" excuse came out. Bad mom again! First I don't tell him the seats move, then I'm laughing at how scared he was!
Thanks!!
bummer about the rain - especially when feet are getting went
Glad you son enjoyed TSMM so much though!
Aw, I think it is really tough to gauge how kids will do with Star Tours. Right after my daughter said she liked it but we were talking about it the other day and she said "The Darth Vader ride? I do NOT want to ride that ever again!" - so there's that
That's cute that he points out the Little Mermaid sons when they come on
It was just miserably wet everywhere, and the water was deep in some parts of the park. I'm pretty sure we were all soaked to our socks in no time.

That's funny about Star Tours!! With a lot of those "advanced" Disney attractions, it's so hard to know how they will react on it. I'd rather get him on it once and if he decides he doesn't like it, okay we'll wait until he's ready vs. not going at all.
Haha It always makes me smile when he does it.
Major bummer for all the rain but it sounds like you made the best of it!
I really hope our 4-year old loves Star Tours - he loves the
Lego Star Wars stuff now but is not a huge fan of the dark, so...
Both of my older boys do the same thing for any princess song - "Mommy, it's Little Mermaid/Cinderella/Rapunzel!" Aren't they so thoughtful?
With such a short amount of time, we knew we had to just do our best to do what we could with the weather because it definitely wasn't letting up. We have gotten so spoiled with such great weather on our fall trips!
Hopefully he will like it.

It is kind of dark in there, but not as bad as some other attractions. DS hates loud noises more than the dark, so that didn't really work in our favor with ST.

What would we do without them?!?!
