I had not previously heard that the club would reopen so soon, or at all for that matter, but to great joy I found that it in fact is open again (at least for tonight.) And maybe I'm just behind the times on this one, and I apologize if this is old news.

Also, sorry that the link is a competing website but the DIS far surpasses it in many ways.

Really? This sounds like great news! More details anyone?

That is interesting...I was under the impression it was currently only open for private parties. I suppose it's possible they opened it because of the marathon.

When I was there in Sept the bus driver who drove us back to the resort said that they were planning on reopening it. I just dismissed it as rumor, but maybe he was right. If so, I'm very excited!

Holy Sheepdip Batman...what GREAT news!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :yay: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Oh I so hope they open it in time for our trip. I'd have to redo my entire itinerary, but it would be so worth it!

i'm thinking it was for a private party. because to think anything else would get my hopes up. and i can't stand to have them dashed again.

WWWWAHT! That's is crazy! I am really curious as to why it was open if it was NOT a private event.

Maybe they are going to have it open a few nights to see if it draws enough crowds to see if it's worth reopening for good BUT the problem with that is if it isn't advertised, people won't even go that direction if they think it's closed.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Is this anything like the "Ticket Price Increase of 1/08/09?"

Prior to the announced closing many groups had contracts for events at AC. As Disney did not have firm plans for the building (and to prevent legal problems) they have been honoring the contracts. I know that a couple of months ago I was part of a group that had a dinner there and all the "members" and shows (except we did not have the Library show).

However, when people from our group entered they had to be wearing their convention credentials as well as having the issued tickets. They were then given a wristband to show that they belonged there. I don't know about a person just "wandering in".

Also there has not been anything posted in the internal cast web site, where something as this would show up.

I know there's been a lot of folks really wanting this to happen - so fingers crossed that their wishes have come true. :wizard:

I'm ashamed to admit it, but we've never made it into the club. Always wanted to go, but just never worked out. :guilty: Now, if this rumour is true, we'd finally be able to go in April because we'll have 'sitters with us which will allow us have an adult only night out! :cool1:

Interesting.. I'll be putting questions out to my PI sources to see what I can find out.

Count me as one more who would be changing my itinerary to get to the Adventurer Club. I was only therre once and this is DH's first visit and I was so bummed that we didn't get there before AC closed.

Disney - Please Please Please open the AC again!!

We would have been there in a millisecond had we known, and if it were true.

Yesterday afternoon I saw a previous Samantha Sterling (Shelia Ward). However it was at American Idol Experience. (Where she did a wonderful job, as usual.) Also saw Lisa from CW. (sigh... "Those were the days my friend.")

I would be inclined to think it was a private group too.

DH was a 5k and half marathon participant, and is on running (internet) boards. No mention of AC being opened for them. And the night before a marathon, marathoners do not stay up late. Most are in bed by 7, as they have to get up around 3 am or so.

Wouldn't that be something if there were actually a reason to want to return to DTD? (swoon)

I've heard rumors that an Adventurer's Club restaurant will be opened next door at the former BET club. I wonder if this is true??
