We took the Adventure Express Tour yesterday. If you have some free time and don't want to wait in lines, I would recommend the tour. We had a great time. There were only 7 people on our tour and our Guide was great. He was willing to change things up if time allowed. Word of warning, it was a lot more walking than I thought there would be. We criss-crossed the park a few times getting from one place to another.

We had front of the line access to Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, and the Wild Artic. If you didn't want to ride, the Guide told you where to wait and everyone meet up afterwards. We saw the Horizons and Believe shows on our tour. We feed the stingrays, seals and dolphins. We were part of a test program where we fed the dolphins away from the crowd in a roped off area. That was great. We probably had the dolphins to ourselves for about 5 - 10 minutes.

We had lunch in the same area where Dine with Shamu is held. Lunch was nothing special, cold cuts, but the backdrop was great. Mom and baby were in the pool beside us. They didn't perform any tricks. They were just swimming around. Our guide told us, this was rare to have both of them back there. Don't know if it was true or not, but it was neat to see them up close.

The penguin encounter is very quick. We probably got about 30 seconds with the penguin. The Trainer held the penguin in her lap and we were able to touch it. I think we could have had a longer time if we wanted, but most people pet the penguin, had their picture taken (by someone in the group), and left.

Our guide was great. Even though the schedule is pretty much laid out for you, we were ahead of schedule a few times, so we were taken through the Penguin Encounter, Shark Attack, Manatee Rescue Area, and Turtle area. As we went through, our guide mentioned various tidbits for us. Since our group was so small, it was like having our own private tour guide.

Sounds as though you had a wonderful time.

I wanted to do this when we go on President's Day, but wasn't sure if it was worth the money.

It's going to be crowded on that day, so it may be worth it.

Thanks for the review!!
