I'm pretty sure that this has been posted, but I haven't seen anything recently. There will be a ConGaloosh 2010, while we can't meet at the actual club building Adventurers are of hardy stock so we will be taking over other locations to gather and reminisce about the fantastic times at the club and make new memories.

Schedule:

Friday - Meet in Hollywood Studios led by Disney Historian Jim Korkis. Dinner and a brand new show written exclusively for the event to take place in Cairo, Egypt, behind Indiana Jones Adventure, hosted by Samantha Sterling, with guest stars (like singing sensation Andrea Canny, accompanied by the one and only John DeHaas)!

Saturday - Meets at the Jungle Cruise, Pirates. That evening a banquet, followed by a cast-panel. The following, by nickname, have recently confirmed wanting to participate (keep in mind that the actual panel is subject to change depending upon availability): Sugar Snap, Chipmunk Cheeks, Annelle, Green, Blondie, Tiny, Joy, Gabby, Kiki, "Rosie", Talullah, Sunny, and others. New this year will be a bizarre bazarre, merchandise sales, and various games and contests... and introducing Adventureoke!

Sunday – Meets at Expedition Everest OR enjoy Food and Wine Festival

Cool! Were you at last year's event?

ConGaloosh 2010 is October 8-10, 2010.
Thanks for posting the dates and link (wasn't sure if the Mods would allow it - you'd think that I wouldn't be such a rule follower)

Bummer.. Second year in a row I will be away at work during the event..

MG
Dang!!! By away do you mean out of town or just won't be able to make the evening events?

I do want to disclose that I"m on the board that is planning the event. Any suggestions for things that you all want to see (or NOT see)?

Unfortunately I'll be out of town..
I make my living as a pilot and I'm "gone" for 7 days, then home for 7 days. It's easy to see my schedule for the year, and the 8th-10th falls during the time that I'm gone.

Of course I will try to swap schedules...

Awww man, I'm going to miss it by one week! We even are planning AC costumes for MNSSHP. Can't move the dates, either. Darn!

I wasn't lucky enough to attend Congaloosh, but was fortunate to attend Lou Mongello's event held the night before the Congaloosh 2009 festivities began. I had friends that attended Congalooosh and it sounds as though we missed out on alot. Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for the opportunity to have attended Mongello's event, but am sooo happy there will be a Congaloosh 2010 :goodvibes

One suggestion, just to change things up a bit this year, and also to acknowledge that the Club was more than just shows. How about including a non-actor CM or two on the panel? Obviously I think everyone's first choice would be a certain "Major Domo" (who a lot of people mentioned they missed last year), but any of the long-time bartenders probably have a ton of stories to share.

I think this is a great idea.

I'd also love to see the panel given longer to speak. It seemed like they had just really warmed up and started sharing stories when the time was up. Of course there was one panel member who did sort of monopolize the time, and though her stories were interesting I'd love to see the more recent cast members be given more of a chance to share their thoughts and stories this year.

We'll cross our fingers that you are able to switch!

Dang! Make sure to post pictures of your costumes. I'm sure there will be lots of pictures/videos online (just like last year) after the event. Maybe 2011 dates will work better for you (nothing has been set in stone, but if this event is well attended, we fully intend to do it next year as well).

I only heard about the Mongello event the week before. I listened to his podcast recap and his event sounded good as well (two showings of each show so they were able to get more people in). If you visit the ConGaloosh website you can register a Tribe and for $25 you will get a copy of the DVD of last years events. It even has a video of the special Jungle Cruise Tour that was led by Right Guard Ian (an entire boatload of AC fans). I'll never be able to go through the cave without remembering us all singing the AC theme song.

I agree that is a great idea - I'll put it to the group and see if anyone in FL has contact with any of those cast members to see if they might be interested.

I think part of the problem may have been that we were waiting for some cast members to arrive (they had one last event that night). But I agree that just when they started to get warmed up, time ran out and it had to close up.
I'm pretty sure that there will be a "submit your cast member panel question" on the website if not we can post them here and I'll pass them along.

Keep the ideas coming!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but surely of interest to all former Adventurers...

Fan-favorite AdvClub actor Karl Anthony (the "Southern" Otis/"Captain Kirk" Hathaway) has two comedy shows this Friday and Saturday, and is looking to fill them. At the new Bonkerz Comedy Club location at Shakers Lounge on 1385 State Road 436, Casselberry, FL. 32707. The showtime for each night is 8pm.

Hi Jason,

Hijack away with information on any of the cast members activities. I wish I were able to make it to the shows, but alas flying across the country for a show isn't in the cards (not till I get those 6 lucky numbers).
