Looking to stay for 7 days and there are only one bedromms available. There are options in the resort hotels: moderate and deluxe. We are looking at Coronado Springs for the 129 points instead of the 174 points for the OKW one bedroom.

There are only 2 people going on the trip ( DW and I ).
I am looking for reasons to stay with OKW,but the pool isn't going to be functioning.

Thanks for your help.

I'm not certain of your desired dates, but 7 nights in an OKW 1BR villa would be 172 points for Oct, Nov and mid Dec (Thanksgiving would be higher).

A stay at CSR in October would be 172 points and would be 163 for November thru mid Dec.

For about the same number of points, you'll still have a pool to enjoy at OKW (there are still 3 neighborhood pools to choose from- if you don't want to pool hop), a full kitchen, washer/dryer, King bed and (forget about the pool ;) ) a jacuzzi in the master bath area. The size of the 1BR is about 1000 sq feet vs about 340 at CSR and you won't be able to pool hop if you stay at CSR.

Doesn't seem to be too much to consider. ;)

Doc,

That would sum it up for me if I was the one making the choice.

I love OKW and I have not even stayed in a 1BD there (yet) just a studio.

go get on the wait list for the studio (if that is what you want)

1-bedroom are as Doc has pointed out - quite above any WDW resorts.

You can cook or should use prepare some meals in a 1-bedroom, can't in resort room.

the pool at CSR is definitely better. but that is about it!

We just spent 3 nights at CSR; definitely missed DVC....and we usually have a studio. CSR is nice, certainly....I've just been spoiled now with the fridge/microwave/toaster, etc. (I think that the bathrooms at a DVC studio are larger, too. )
You would still have the quiet pools at OKW and the option to pool hop, I think..., at that time of year. To be safe, you'd better check w/DVC about pool hopping during your visit...I'm not vouching for the dates! :)

Do both. Stay in the 1 bedroom at OKW on the weekdays, then pay cash for CSR(under $100 per night). Saves some points for later, Disney moves the luggage, and you get to try out a new resort as well.
