Advantages of FOF Parade FP?

I know that the FOF Parade FP viewing area doesn't have shade and will be very hot. What are the advantages of using a FP for FOF? If the parade is a priority & you don't mind using a FP on it, would you suggest it? Anyone have any recent experiences using a FP for the parade? I'm hoping everyone in the FP area has good views. I'm only 5', so I don't really want a row of 20 people crammed in front of me. We will be going during a busy time (June). Thank you so much.

I just cancelled mine. I figure if I need to arrive 30 minutes early, and it takes 30 minutes for the parade to get there I might as well go to Frontierland and wait that 60 minutes in the shade.

Just go to a spot deep in Frontierland (past Country Bears) or to a spey in Liberty Square near Hall of Presidents.
You can find good front-row viewing and you can see the complete parade before it even reaches the Town Square FP+ viewing area.

About 2:30-ish.

To be clear, that would also depend on the overall crowd level that day.

WDW rule #1 is that it is better to arrive far too early than to arrive one minute too late.
