Advantages/Disadvantages to a corner room

I guess the question may apply to any resort but we're staying at POFQ and my sister will be at POR. Is there any advantage or disadvantage??

We had a corner room at POR and I really liked it. While the room was no bigger, the extra window made it seem bigger and gave us some extra nice daylight. I don't really see any disadvantage.

We once had a corner room @ POR and really liked it. The extra light was nice! No downside for us!

I know you are referring to POFQ, but this could apply there too.

We had a corner room at CBR. It was right by the stairs with an exit sign shining in our window. With people using the stairs there alot, we ended up with the curtains closed most of the time anyways. Don't think I'd bother requesting one again.

I had a corner room at the Boardwalk and it was bigger than a normal standard.

I would probably asked to be moved if we had a corner room because I don't sleep well with lots of sunlight leaking in the room, but that's just me. I'm sure some people love the extra sun, especially if you're a morning person
