Adults looking for something different in Nassau? Consider Clifton Heritage National Park, Bahamas

On our December 2018 Dream cruise, Nassau stop, we (3 adults) booked the Guided Tour Premium of the Clifton Heritage National Park. This was a lovely low-key day. It took about 30 minutes to arrive at the park, traveling by van. We met just outside the port gate, and were returned to town with plenty of time. Our driver pointed out areas of interest en route to the Park. We made one stop and picked up two people at a nearby resort.

The snorkeling is not for beginners or small children - the snorkeling departs from the shore but is for an extended time in the water (different kinds of life vests provided, snorkeling equipment also provided and quality was fine). The snorkeling guide was knowledgeable and attentive.

The heritage tour was informative and interesting and provided by a park guide; lunch delicious and home-made at the park (chicken, rice, fruit, veggie, water) and we ate in an outdoor, covered picnic shelter. The National Park is new - only established in 2004 and opened in 2009.

I would recommend this is a teens and up activity. It was a nice way to learn about history, culture, traditions, flora/fauna, support the National Park, and snorkel in a unique place.
