Adults going to MNSSHP; Are you going in costume? Share your pics here

ACK I didn't know that, so absolutely no adult characters? No princesses, no queen of hearts or alice, nothing at all? Can we dress up as non Disney characters?

Adults can dress in costume for the hard-ticket special events like MNSSHP, Rock Your Disney Side, etc. Those are most magical times of year, to be sure. DW, DD1, and I will be attending the first night on Monday, Sept. 1 in full costumes. I'll be the Jack of the Cinderella, Alice, and Jack entourage that DW previously posted.

It is 100% okay for an adult to dress up for special events when Disney alllows it. So, MNSSHP, this year's Villans Unleashed, and Rock your Disney Side 24 hour event. They just don't want adults roaming in costume on regular, non special days as children can. No worries!

Last year we were captain jack and elizabeth swann and dash and mad hatter. This year I am going as a ballroom dancer and hubby is going to be joker and my son is going as russel from up and my little guy as a minion. My hubby keeps changing his mind he may go as carl and my son may go as buzz.

And yes, I know that the blue is too dark but I like the darker blue better and the lighter blue choices as the fabric store were bad!

We finally decided on costumes. We have 2 different ones. One party I'll be merida and my bf will be jack sparrow. The next I'll be gamora and the bf will be star lord. We've started to work on the costumes and we're pretty excited. Jack and merida are about finished.

Love your costumes! Did you have them made or did you buy them? They look fantastic!

DD's white skirt with silver dragonflies was from a dance recital and she was wearing a long sleeve shirt. Her wings were attached to the back of her wheelchair and were from Target. I made everything else, including my wings.

DD's dress was really an apron - really easy to get on in a wheelchair and she didn't have to sit on a layer of bumpy skirt. Here's a picture of it.

She's getting a new costume this year - I'll be revising a top and pants into a more Fast Flyer fairy.

My costume was a skirt, an over skirt with painted leaves, a corset and a top. I probably won't have time to do much to mine.

I was able to stear my youngest DD (4) away from the Elsa dress and she is going one night as Cinderella and another as Little Mermaid so now mommy has an evil queen and a Ursula costume.

Oldest DD (11) went with an Gold Aurora dress from Maleficent and has Minnie ears/tail, gloves for the 2nd night when her cousin is there and they will most likely just run around like little crazy girls

Anna and Kristoff (wearing this to the 10/9 MNSSHP and we managed to get Anna and Elsa FP+ before the party)

Alice and Hatter (wore these on one of the Disney Magic Halloween cruises last year)

One more since there are so many other provincial Belles in this thread-- DW at last year's MNSSHP

So we leave Friday for our next trip to the world. We were not planning on going to mnsshp this year though we have been in the past. We have been comped some party tickets so it looks like we are now going. I don't know if at this point I want to go to the expense of buying costumes. Do they sell any tshirt costumes at the parks? Of so, which ones?

Great costumes!! I was just asking my husband last night if we would be dressing up for the Halloween Party. Not sure what to plan for as we weren't sure how many adults also dress up.
