Adults going to MNSSHP; Are you going in costume? Share your pics here

DH and I are going as Mr. And Mrs. Incredible. We grabbed some t-shirts on amazon, black shorts we have and we'll paint our eyes black like we have the masks on. I'm taking it a step further and wearing red tights with knee high black socks but hubby doesn't seem to wanna go for that! LOL

I'll be Disney bounding instead of a full fledged costume. We are going to our first ever party on 9/1. I bought a blue dress and have a white sweater and black flats (little town Belle). I'm hoping to get DH to wear a red t-shirt or buy this shirt I've seen at Disney that looks like Gaston. I'm excited! We leave in....6 hoursish!

What is disney bounding? I am super excited to be ariel (kiss the girl) and my DH is eric!! I put my costume together without sewing!! So excited! Wish I knew how to post a photo :(

Okay, we've all finally decided on our costumes, and I'm soooo excited! DH is going as Clark Kent/Superman (white shirt unbuttoned with tie undone and Superman tee peeking out, and his clunky framed glasses). I will be Wonder Woman (made myself a logo tee and blue tutu, have the stuff to make bracelets and lasso, but still need to figure out a belt and tiara- any easy ideas would be welcome!). DD8 will be Tinkerbell, and DS6 totally went to the dark side as Harry Potter, lol.:rotfl:

Disney Bounding is representing your favorite character by dressing in simular colors and or adding accessories such a necless, hat, belt shoes, ect that would remind you of the character but not a "costume".
Since Adults are not allowed to dress up in costume as a character it is the next best thing. If you google "Disney Bounding inspired outfits you will find a lot of info and images that will help you figure out what it is.

To post a photo you need to upload the pictures to a site like photobucket then you can copy the http and paste it to you post by clicking the picture icon. You can IM me if you have any questions about it and I can walk you through it since I spent a lot of time at first trying to figure it out as well.

Here we are at Comic Con today. Tinkerbell will be staying home, but Alice, Cinderella, and Captain Jack will be at MNSSHP on Sept 1st.

How fun..hey, are you the Cap'n Jack from the Elgin area? You had a thread about authentic costumes? We are going to be there the same party. Look for a flock of seagulls....;)
Alice and Cinderella look awesome, all the outfits are really great, but I especially love Tink's pink shoes

SO pretty and fun! Did you make it? I am still working on our 4 costumes...and we are attending the first party, lol. I think I will still be making them in the car on the way down. :rolleyes1

Thanks! No I did not make it. I can't sew anything beyond basic doll clothes and pillowcases haha! ;) I have great respect for the people who make their own awesome costumes!

Yep. DH is the Captain Jack in Elgin. We'll look for you on the 1st. Less than a week :)

:woohoo: you guys looked great....I'm still completing our costumes, but hope the event is fun. Someone just posted that the pumpkins are out so I guess decorating has begun!:thumbsup2 My DH is even joining in on the costumes, so that is making it even more fun for our family

ACK I didn't know that, so absolutely no adult characters? No princesses, no queen of hearts or alice, nothing at all? Can we dress up as non Disney characters?

So sorry for the confussion. ONLY during MNSSHP and the villians event they had can adults dress up. During those special events you can dress up as any character you want but during normal park days anyone over the age of 12 are not allowed to be in costume so many adults "Disney Bound" instead.
