We are going Sept 28--first time and so excited. Discovered what Disneybounding is on the boards and that is just our speed! I'm so impressed by the elaborate costumes I see in photos and by people's creativity--Brian Rose--love it!

Three of us are going as our favorite rides. I'm going as Space Mountain in this:

. Could use suggestions for accessories if anyone's creative.

DH is wearing an orange Star Wars shirt with blue shorts. He already has a light saber DD is going as Splash Mountain--plaid, denim, a bandanna and a rabbit necklace. I was thinking a rabbit's foot necklace might be funny, but she's not sure.

Other DD is determined to be Marie--which is pretty easy. All white clothes, pink bow and either a fish necklace or maybe something French.

I spent way too long trying to figure out who my partner and I could be because there aren't really that many options for 'couple costumes' when you're both guys unless you want to be buddies. Then I got sucked into the rabbit hole of "genderbent Disney" art and came up with Prince Philip and Prince...well, Auror? Brian Rose? Anyway. The costumes aren't made yet, but fabric is ordered and here are the concept sketches

The shirts will both be out of jersey (t-shirt material, not too warm and easy to roll up if it's too hot in mid-October) as will the capes, with the tunic (for him) and doublet (for me) out of cotton. And because it's hard to tell, I should add that my boots - er, shoes and gaiters - are silver sequinned...because magic.

Love the sketches, you two are going to look great.

My friend and I are doing the first MNSSHP....and I know how hot it's going to be. Way too hot for my regular Maleficent costume. So, dd, 20, suggested DisneyBounding. She has been doing that on her last few trips but I never thought about doing it myself. So, off to find Maleficent appropriate stuff!!! Love this idea!

I'm going as Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy so I think we might need around the same color. I used Ben Nye last year for my Haunted Mansion ballroom dancer ghost. It worked great! I may have done a lot of sweating (hey, it was hot) and the makeup didn't smudge a bit.

I ended up tracking down the make up and figured it may help you since you probably need the same color, got Mehron Paradise AQ in Forest Amazon green.

I *think* we are going to be the Incredibles. There are six of us. Four adults (two women and two men) and two little boys. Littles will be Dash and Jack-Jack. Women will be Violet and Elasti-girl. The men will be Mr Incredible and Syndrome.

Here we are at Comic Con today. Tinkerbell will be staying home, but Alice, Cinderella, and Captain Jack will be at MNSSHP on Sept 1st.

I love the dress! It does look like a fish tail on the bottom. Some times you can contact the store if you saved your reciet and get a price adjustment if it is within a certain amount of days. Worth a try at least.

I was joking about the gyp'd part - I couldn't believe my eyes when DD and I were admiring the dress on tumblr and we clicked the link thinking it wouldn't be available, then there it was at Walmart on clearance. Thank you, though!

I found a red dress with white polka dots so I am going to go as Minnie Mouse. My DH is going to go as a "beach bum". Just wearing a hawaiian shirt and beach hat.

I legit squeed at this. Outside of work I wear pretty much nothing but sequined tennis shoes. I have tiny feet. I fit into kid's sizes, and walmart almost always has the keds-type sparkle shoes. I say this all the time when people ask me why I'm wearing those shoes.
