DH and I along with our in-laws are heading to Disney in exactly 60 days!!! We have no kids (as of yet) and want to enjoy a great breakfast buffet but as adults, we are not really into the whole character thing - we have eaten at Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace but we would like to try 1900 Park Fare at GF. We want to enjoy some good food but not take indulge in the time spent with the characters since it should be the children that enjoy that (although I still do enjoy getting a picture in with Mickey):
Does anyone have any opinions on 1900 Park Fare or have any other suggestions of places to eat breakfast with 4 adults?

if you want zero character interaction, why not try Boma at AKL?

My son (20 at the time) and I had a good breakfast at the Cape May Cafe at the YC/BC.
There was a good selection of food and everything was very good. The Characters would stop, they would pat my son's head or give my hand a kiss. It was nice, not over done, but we were not left out.

Yacht Club Galley has an excellent breakfast buffet. Very nice and airy resturaunt.

We've always enjoyed the food at 1900 Park Fare. We've taken 3 different groups there and they still talk about how good the breakfast was there. Only 1 group we took had children, all the others were adults. With adults, the characters stop briefly and say hello and take a picture if you want, then go on to the next table. Boma is also an enjoyable breakfast buffet and costs a little less than 1900 Park Fare.

Although I haven't tried it yet, I've read that Fresh has an excellent breakfast buffet as well as brunch in the weekend. We plan on trying it. They're located at the Dolphin. Try allearsnet.com for the menu.

it of course depends on what you like but
homey, rustic and a tiny bit more limited ( no made to order omletes that I know of although I think someone once posted they got one here) fantastic breakfast "pizza" best in wdw imo,( kind of like a biscuit with eggs, and other breakfast stuff on top yumyum)"Trail's end .great value as beverages including juice are included for $10

all you can eat tables service WCC , think beverages are extra but $10 and food was very good when we went. rowdy atmosphere that some have complained about but we enjoyed

all out buffet probably Boma due to it costing less than most, the food is good if ordinary breakfast fare( only 2 more ethnic items when we were there). we had a bad service experience there and we wouldn't go back ( for the money and nostalgia we like trail's end better but not that fond of buffets period) but that is probably just cause we were expecting more "wow" than it really is.

We always do Boma for breakfast. Also Maya Grill, which has a respectable adult breakfast buffet.

Cape May has a character breakfast, I believe. For a buffet, try Boma (wonderful food and excellent atmosphere). I would not go to Trail's End at Fort Wilderness, although the wait staff was awesome, the food was a little tired. Maya Grill is nice, but it was a smaller buffet than Boma. We will be going to Fresh this trip, it sounds very nice and we are all looking forward to it, but no first hand experience. Whispering Canyon is all-you-care-to-eat but is plated. The food is good, not great, for breakfast.

Spoodles on the Boardwalk has a really great breakfast. The food is very good (breakfast pizza is fabulous) and it is a nice quiet place to start your Disney day.

My favorit is the Trails End Buffeteria. The price is reasonable and you have a good choice of meats, eggs, breakfast pizza, pastries, waffles, etc.

Spoodles cost more and has more upscale items: e.g smoked salmon.

We really enjoyed the non-character buffet breakfast at Fresh in the Dolphin. We also found the character buffet breakfast at 1900 Park Fare to be very good and the characters visited just long enough for DW and I.

We've had excellent breakfasts at Boma, Spoodles, the Kona Cafe, GF Cafe, and YC Galley. Of all of them I'd say the Kona and Boma are our favorites.

Any really!

Boma, Spoodles or GF Cafe are my recommendations though. Higher cost tends to lean toward less children.

If you get a the earliest PS or the latest, you will find you are around less children.

Before I had kids, I loved watching the magic in other kids eyes as the characters interacted with them.

Yacht Club Galley was my favorite until this trip when I discovered Boma. Boma is really a super buffet with a great selection of so many different things. Boma satisfies the picky and the adventurous and everyone in between.

Boma Rocks!

:drinking1

PS: Don't miss the "Frunch"! (It's not that color but that's the only picture with a drink.)

I would recommend Spoodles on the Boardwalk or Fresh at the Dolphin. This would work out especially well if you are going to MGM or Epcot that day. If you are going to MK, I'd stick with the 1900 Park Fare but I think it's a little more pricey. Also isn't there a breakfast at the Poly?

1900 Park Faire to me is the most relaxing character breakfast buffet and has the best food. However, if you really don't care about the characters, I would head to Boma at AKL for an even more relaxing and delicious experience.

WOW!! Thanks so much for all of the great advice!! We may try 1900 Park Fare as its on the monorail line and perhaps we will try one at the AKL just for something different - thanks again!!!

I also LOVE Boma - it's my favorite buffet at WDW. Lots of interesting choices and if you've never been to AKL it's a good chance to see the place - it's amazing.

I am also a fan of the breakfast at Boatwrights at POR (love the sweet potato pancakes); Kona Cafe at Poly (love the Tonga Toast) and Concouse Steakhouse (love the Mickey's Stickies and watching the monorail pass through).
