Adulting is Hard, So I'm Running Away! ~ An Oct 2016 PTR ~ Update 10/19: Peace Out, Yo!

The picture of Poe reminds me of this Mindy Kaling tweet: Excuse me, is there a MRS. Dameron? said my lame Star Wars character, Vicki.

You caught me before I edited. Fast on the trigger you are. :yoda:

I noticed an ADR-less day on your spreadsheet, the 27th maybe? No plans yet?

I have to jump into any conversation about Poe Dameron as quickly as possibly, you know. :rotfl:

The plan is to have a light breakfast (aka a CUPCAKE) at Starring Rolls that morning, then go power through the 6 things I want to do at HS, and get back to the room as early as possible. Take my midday break, then scoot over to Epcot and and spend the rest of the day/night stuffing my face full of Food & Wine offerings. :thumbsup2

Wooohooo!!! Another day on property. I completely forgot about River of Lights too. Well, kind of. It's on our "to-do" list but I didn't even think about factoring it into our daily plans yet.

Maybe I'll do an orange one and get some Halloween decals for it and wear it just for MNSSHP, and wear my pink one the rest of the time.

I think you should do this. I'm getting DH a surprise MagicBand cover so he doesn't get to pick his color :D I'm thinking about getting a Halloween cover for mine as well but I'm waiting until we decided if we're going MNSSHP for sure (WDW needs to hurry up and revoke that "no adult costumes at the Halloween party" thing).

They did for the marathon, so you might be in luck! You just couldn't cover your face, it couldn't drag the ground, and it couldn't be like a big prop type thing (like if you were to dress up as the Death Star and have a big sphere around yourself, that sort of thing they made off-limits).

fabulous. You are my planning inspiration! I need to start a spreadsheet as well. Our goal is to ride every ride in all the parks. Maybe. I don't know if I can do spinny-rides anymore...

Ahhh, I see. Outstanding plan! Noms galore!

Funnily enough, shortly after I explained my "plans" for that day as stated above... I added in an ADR for a light lunch (soup and salad) at HS. At the Hollywood Brown Derby. Couldn't help myself. Ooops!

This all started yesterday evening when I realized that in the original build of my itinerary (created using 2015's October park hours), I made a big booboo... I hadn't accounted for the new Rivers of Light show at Animal Kingdom, which will be happening by October and is a MUST-SEE for me.
So jealous you are going to get to see this. i adore all things AK and am dying to see the night show. I'm hoping it will be up in running when we go in April, but know that is a far, far stretch.

The unavoidable fact was that I needed one more night on Disney property to make it all work. So I crunched the numbers and did that good fuzzy Disney math. :teacher:
I love disney math, don't you. It makes completely implausible numbers seem feasible and i find if you drop the last number on the total bill that really helps too ; )

..And decided to just go direct to the Beach Club and stay the full 7 nights there! I called and added the additional night to the front end of reservation and locked it in!
How awesome. We're staying at Beach Club for the first time too and were so excited. Unless of course I change my mind in the next 3 months and stay somewhere else ; )

I even managed to work in a late-night visit to Trader Sam's!
Woohoo. Billie drinking it up in Trader Sam's. Wish I could join in

Anyhow... Share and bask in my planning sickness:
It really is a sickness and it better not be contagious, cause I really don't want it ; )

So? Thoughts? Questions? Seeing any errors in judgement that I've overlooked? Or just typoes? (I make lots of typoes.) :scratchin
Well I was gonna say it's October and hello, food and wine festival but just saw that you've got that planned on your empty ADR day. So all looks good to my unplanning eye

For your MNSSHP night, I'm think that Sleepy Hollow has a limited menu on party nights. When we went in Sept. 2014, I was dyyyyyiinnggg for a chicken waffle sandwich and when we went they were only serving a few selected items for party nights. I was so bummed!! May be worth checking into and having a backup plan just in case!! :woohoo:

Adding an extra night to a Disney vacation-always awesome :D I happen to LOVE orange so I think that's the color band you should get, especially since you're going for fall! But, some Halloween decals would make it less orange so that would be a nice compromise that might work for both of us, right

Yes, me too, I love love love AK! I'm excited to see this show, and to have scheduled in some extra time there on this trip! :cutie:

I completely agree! All things are possible with Disney math. :goodvibes

Yes! I'm so excited for my first Beach Club stay! And my first Deluxe stay in 10 years! I'm splurging!

Woohoo. Billie drinking it up in Trader Sam's. Wish I could join in
I wish you could, too! We'd have a blast! :drinking1

It's a sickness that I enjoy, so I don't mind keeping it for myself! :thumbsup2

I'm sure I'll be hitting Food & Wine booth during all three of my visits to Epcot during this trip, honestly! :D

Say whaaaat! I had no idea! That's exactly what I was after too, was a chicken waffle sandwich! Well dang, I'm glad you told me! But it's okay, that and Pecos Bill's were both just ones I've never done in MK, but I don't mind changing them up or playing those by ear once I'm actually there. :cutie:

I think you're right! At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go for the Orange band! :thumbsup2

How on earth did I miss 2 updates???? Not just here, but in almost all the threads I'm following I've fallen behind. Actually I think it's because I was relying on the Alerts and for some reason I wasn't being alerted when there were updates. Now I know that the best way is to check the Watched Threads.

and this enormous plushie from my Mama...

LOVE this!!!! :cutie:

I hadn't accounted for the new Rivers of Light show at Animal Kingdom, which will be happening by October and is a MUST-SEE for me.

Me too. Still crossing my fingers and wishing really hard for it to be up and running by the time I get there. Maybe I need to invest in Snow White's wishing well.

The unavoidable fact was that I needed one more night on Disney property to make it all work

:cool1:

I would love several more nights there myself, but then I wouldn't have enough time with the fam.
Oh well, guess my unavoidable fact is that I have to plan another trip someday.

Rebooting almost my entire schedule meant also rearranging my ADR Wishlist, but I was able to do so without having to cut any of them, so that too is exciting

Priorities :thumbsup2

Ummm we have that same Minnie!!!!

Also one more day of Disney is never a bad thing! :woohoo:

I'm always chronically behind on the threads I follow! I have no excuse, either!

LOVE this!!!! :cutie:
Ain't she so cuuuuuute? :goodvibes

I'll wish for you, also!!! Pixie dust!!! :tink:

I 110% agree! ::yes::

Just going to put this right here

your welcome.
Thank you, Mo. You just made my dreary Monday morning a little bit brighter (and yummier). You're a good friend!

Okay, so I haven't introduced myself to you yet, but I've stalked your TRs forevs. ;) I've taken a solo trip to DLR, and I'm a solo kind of gal, so I've been reading your reports in an effort to psych myself up to do a solo WDW trip. My birthday is October 24th, and I like to go on vacation around that time, plus I've always wanted to do Food and Wine. And after reading this PTR...

I pulled the trigger. :teeth:

7 nights in a Garden View room at the Beach Club!! I arrive Saturday the 22nd and leave the following Saturday the 29th! (Promise I'm not stalking you that hard...I wanted to be as close of a walk to Epcot as possible and I preferred the room decor.)

SO excited. Now to fire up my own spreadsheet! Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm behind! Love your spreadsheet organization. If you feel like sharing that template, I sure would be grateful. Nudge, nudge :yo-yo:
