Adulting is Hard, So I'm Running Away! ~ An Oct 2016 PTR ~ Update 10/19: Peace Out, Yo!

This is so true. I noticed how much they had when we took a break at Les Halles for a bit one day. I'll be getting back there for some thank you BFF gifts (for watching my cats) on my Princess trip. She loves Marie.
If I remember correctly I might have visited Les Halles during my Senior Trip to buy some Marie stuff on my final day at WDW. I was originally going to buy the Marie stuff during my first day in order to show her how of a fan I was for my final day. But I decided to buy them after I meet Marie a second and final time during my trip. But meeting Marie was the highlight of my third trip and is my favorite memory of all of my Disney trips and even topped the time I meet Minnie at Animal Kingdom back in 2006 when I used to have a crush on her.

I want to do this so bad!!! I checked on Amazon though, and those movies are expensive to buy!!! Might have to break down and do it, though. It's been far too many years. :darth:

They're expensive if you want to watch them online but I got the dvd/bluray pack on sale at Target for $39.99. My parents have a blu-ray player so I gave them those and kept the dvds for me. Way better than paying $20 to watch one of them once - can't believe they're gouging people like that!

Haha, spreadsheets...we could be soul sisters. I don't have spreadsheets but I have a binder and lots & lots of lists. I hope you've planned time for some DIS Meets into your plans. Sounds like there are going to be a bit of us down there at the same time.

I'm glad you had a wonderful holiday. I was so slack on Christmas this year. :( I wasn't necessarily Grinchy but time just got away from me. I did manage to get the main parts done & that's all that matters, right?

I love your food list. I can't wait for the park hours to be released. I'm like you and really want to see the River of Light. I think I've even gotten DH a smidge excited about it.

The new Star Wars was pretty awesome, wasn't it?? DH is already planning a guy night to go see it again lol.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays...way late. But still!

Glad you had a great time with your family! And love the Minnie! I got mostly Disney-themed gifts this year, including a huge Minnie tsum-tsum that is amazing!

300 day dance? Totally a thing!

And if your dancing...then I'm dancing too!

If you ever want to meet Marie or get a picture of her. She can be found at the Magic Kingdom near the Flag Pole in Town Square. She usually comes out around 10:30am and is alot of fun to interact with. Did you ever buy an autograph book during your trip to Walt Disney World? Because you've got to get Marie's autograph, her signature is cute since she adds a big bow on the letter "I" in her name. Don't worry if you meet Marie the first time. If you head to Epcot later during you're trip. Be sure to stop by the France Pavilion in Epcot because it's the easiest location to find any Marie stuff including Marie plushies and shirts. But my favorite is the Marie stuffed animals. If you plan on meeting Marie again during your trip. Try handing her your Marie plush to her for her to look at.
Thanks for the tips! :cutie:

Yeah, there was an element of feeling that kind of pressure now that you mention it. My BFF did no research at all, so on our EPCOT day she was at a loss to come up with anything to do and I was always worried she was bored. I told her that for our next trip she'd be the one to plan everything so that wouldn't happen again.
I think I went the opposite direction, and came up with WAY too much for us to do. :rotfl:

I think I found these on Amazon.com. Two separate packs, one for each trilogy, Blu-Ray/DVD combo? They have them for $34.96 each! Looks like I'm gonna be shifting some money around to buy them ASAP! :darth:

I have spreadsheets that eventually get printed and put into a Disney binder! Haha. Along with lists, directions, and print-outs of all confirmations, etc. :thumbsup2 And I'm totally up for DisMeets! It's early still of course, but Jamie (@hokieinpa ) and I are talking about getting together for lunch at the Wave then heading over to MNSSHP together on Tues, Oct 25, and Lynn (@cajunfan ) is going to try to join me for a late breakfast at Cape May Cafe before I hit the road to drive home on Fri, Oct 28. I'm sure once we all get our final schedules nailed down, you and I can figure out a time we can connect, too! Would love to meet the infamous Potatoes and Pasta! :goodvibes

I think my issue was that I was so focused on my recent Disney trip that Christmas got put waaaay back on the back-burner. I got home from the trip, and on Dec. 12th went "Oh, crap. Christmas is in 13 days and I've bought literally nothing." :rotfl:

I love your food list. I can't wait for the park hours to be released. I'm like you and really want to see the River of Light. I think I've even gotten DH a smidge excited about it.
My food list is epic! And yesssss, Rivers of Light! I'm sure it's going to be STUNNING! I can't wait! :hyper:

The new Star Wars was pretty awesome, wasn't it?? DH is already planning a guy night to go see it again lol.
I'm planning a Billie night to go see it again.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays...way late. But still!
Still counts!

Glad you had a great time with your family! And love the Minnie! I got mostly Disney-themed gifts this year, including a huge Minnie tsum-tsum that is amazing!
OMG! Huge Minnie tsum-tsum sounds AWESOME!

300 day dance? Totally a thing!

Okay, well if you and all the woodland creatures say so, then it must be true! ::yes::

And if your dancing...then I'm dancing too!

HOORAY!!!

Yep, those are the ones and that's great that Amazon has them for an even better price! I was in a hurry to watch the original trilogy before going to see the new one in the theater so didn't want to wait for them to be shipped, even though I have Amazon Prime with the free 2 day shipping. :) I will confess that I've never seen all of the prequels but from what I've heard they're not nearly as good anyway. The only thing with the dvds you buy now is that some scenes have been added to the originals. I know a lot of die hard fans don't like that. They definitely stood out a bit to me but I still enjoyed them!

So exciting you'll get to see Rivers of Light and do the night safari :goodvibes And try the Frozen ride.....if you're interested :snooty: I like to try everything once just to say I did it even if it isn't something I'm really excited about. And the GG breakfast is awesome!! Wait - did you just do it in Dec :scratchin Don't get mad, I'm old and I can't always remember stuff!
Glad you enjoyed the holidays :santa:

I bought them both this morning. :cutie: I'm considering watching them in the "Machete Order." Have you heard of this? A lot of super fans claim it's the best and most cohesive way to watch them:

Step 1: Throw away Episode 1
Step 2: Watch Ep. 4 & 5
Step 3: Watch Ep. 2 & 3
Step 4: Watch Ep. 6

It seems interesting!! :scratchin

So exciting you'll get to see Rivers of Light and do the night safari :goodvibes
I know! I'm so looking forward to it!!

And try the Frozen ride.....if you're interested :snooty: I like to try everything once just to say I did it even if it isn't something I'm really excited about.
I'm definitely interested! I just forgot all about it, that's all! :rotfl:

And the GG breakfast is awesome!! Wait - did you just do it in Dec :scratchin Don't get mad, I'm old and I can't always remember stuff!
Nope! I did Garden Grill dinner back in Sept. 2014. I have breakfast there on my ADR wishlist for this next trip!! :thumbsup2

Just popping in! I had no idea you had started a ptr for your next adventure! Beach Club is a dream! You're one lucky girl! Looks like you had a great Christmas!

I'm considering watching them in the "Machete Order."

Yes, I would recommend that. In that fashion it's Luke's story, then a long flashback to Anakin's origins, then one final movie to tie up the loose ends and cliffhangers. And you lose the boring first movie that way.

I have heard great things about Machete order. If I hadn't been so badly burned by 1 that I refuse to watch 2 and 3, it is the order I would watch them in. In other news you can skip 1, 2, 3 and not really miss anything as well.

Holy crimeney, how did I miss not one but two updates?????? The ADR wishlist is amazeballs! Glad you had a good Christmas! I'll be back to comment more later..

Hi Billie! I'm crazy late but I'll just jump in here. Congrats on Beach Club! You'll love it. You may never want to go back.

I missed so many updates but I love your latest ADR list!

Signature
Yachtsman Steakhouse

Table Service
Beaches & Cream (Lunch)
Liberty Tree Tavern (Lunch)
Tutto Italia (Dinner)
Captain's Grille (Breakfast)
The Wave (Lunch)
Boma (Dinner)
Garden Grill (Breakfast)
Cape May Cafe (Breakfast)

I almost wish I liked steak I want to try the Yachtsman so bad!

Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch has so far eluded me but I will have it one day!

We had dinner at the Wave a few years ago and I'm sure it was the best meal of that trip. It's definitely and underrated gem in a great location.

I wasn't interested in Cape May at all but after walking by it several times while staying at YC I'm dying to try the buffet. Looked and smelled delicious!

I had no idea Garden Grill does breakfast. Does it have characters at breakfast?

Haha I don't know about infamous but I'm hoping to get in as many DIS meets this trip as I can. And of course you're including in that list! (OAN, I've given your email address to a couple of people that are researching trips for this year so hopefully you don't mind).

I totally forgot about the Frozen ride! I've pulled the hours from last year so we can start making out a tentative schedule. DH and I talked about doing the party on the 25th, if we do it at all. That way it will be our last full day at WDW and feel it would be a good way to end the trip.

Hi, Billie :wave2:
Just ended up over here following a TR I ended up on from Mo's. I always love reading your comments and posts there and finally decided to join one of yours! I just read start to finish here and you've got me cracking up!!! Especially the no pants--my brother's life motto has always been, "Pants are optional." Thanks for letting me follow along and join the fun :)

Garden grill is now a must do...
I did dinner there in Sept 2014 and had an awesome experience! So I'm going to give breakfast a try on this trip! I bet it's just as great!

Just popping in! I had no idea you had started a ptr for your next adventure! Beach Club is a dream! You're one lucky girl! Looks like you had a great Christmas!
Hooray! Glad you're here! :welcome:

Yep. that's the concept as I read it! Definitely sounds like a good was to do it! And it's not like I'm watching them for the first time, either. I've seen them all, but it's been many many years. :darth:

I didn't have any interest in Ep. 1 but eventually saw it when it came to cable. I did go see 2 & 3 in the theater though with friends. That's also the LAST time I've seen them, so it's been quite a while. :chewy:

So ... I thought of you today when I was flying over South Carolina. Just wanted to tell you that!
Awww, that makes me feel so loved, Sarah! Thank you! :lovestruc

Holy crimeney, how did I miss not one but two updates?????? The ADR wishlist is amazeballs! Glad you had a good Christmas! I'll be back to comment more later..
Bahaha. No worries! Glad you're still with me!

Hi Billie! I'm crazy late but I'll just jump in here. Congrats on Beach Club! You'll love it. You may never want to go back.
Hooray! Welcome back! I am SO EXCITED for the Beach Club!

I missed so many updates but I love your latest ADR list!
It's okay, the food is the most important update anyhow. :thumbsup2

I almost wish I liked steak I want to try the Yachtsman so bad!
Oh man, I LOVE steak. Favorite food in the whole wide world is a perfectly cooked medium-rare ribeye. Mmmm... :cloud9:

Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch has so far eluded me but I will have it one day!
Same! I have to fix that! I need to introduce some Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake into my world!

We had dinner at the Wave a few years ago and I'm sure it was the best meal of that trip. It's definitely and underrated gem in a great location.
See! I keep hearing stuff like this, such great commentary about The Wave! I hope the secret NEVER gets out about how good it is! I like hidden gems, given that others are so busy and so hard to get into! ::yes::

I wasn't interested in Cape May at all but after walking by it several times while staying at YC I'm dying to try the buffet. Looked and smelled delicious!
I did dinner there in 2009, and it was pretty good! I always like to end my trip with a special breakfast before hitting the road to come home, and I figured since this one is right there in my resort, it would be the PERFECT way to say goodbye! ::MinnieMo

I had no idea Garden Grill does breakfast. Does it have characters at breakfast?
This is new! And YES, the characters are there for breakfast! :goodvibes

Haha I don't know about infamous but I'm hoping to get in as many DIS meets this trip as I can. And of course you're including in that list!
Hooray! I like being on that list! :thumbsup2

(OAN, I've given your email address to a couple of people that are researching trips for this year so hopefully you don't mind).
Oh, SWEET! Thank you so much, that's awesome!

I totally forgot about the Frozen ride! I've pulled the hours from last year so we can start making out a tentative schedule. DH and I talked about doing the party on the 25th, if we do it at all. That way it will be our last full day at WDW and feel it would be a good way to end the trip.
I forgot about Frozen too until somebody mentioned it here! I've done up my tentative schedule, and hopefully it doesn't change too much when real park hours come out in a couple of months, because I have myself down for three half-days at Epcot, which means three opportunities to score a FP+ for it! (You KNOW it's going to be a mob scene!)

Hi, Billie :wave2:
Hi, Jackie! :welcome:

Just ended up over here following a TR I ended up on from Mo's. I always love reading your comments and posts there and finally decided to join one of yours!
Aww, I'm SO very glad you did! Welcome to my madness!

I just read start to finish here and you've got me cracking up!!!
Oh, good. Sometimes I worry that I'm only funny to myself. :rolleyes1

Especially the no pants--my brother's life motto has always been, "Pants are optional."
Your bro is 110% correct! I didn't mention it, but I busted the butt out of a second pair on Monday. OOPS. :rotfl: My pants keep literally trying to crawl off of me!

Thanks for letting me follow along and join the fun :)
Jackie
